Our leadership team recently spent a weekend staycation together to celebrate each other and all the accomplishments we achieved.

Rather than spending time focused on goal setting or strategizing, we wanted to take the moment to bond with one another- enjoy the small break we have before we enter a busy season of weddings and events.

Today, we celebrate the life of a brilliant pastry chef- Gianna Buzzetta whose sweet spirit matched the magic she brought to every creation.

Gianna was a force — full of life, laughter, and an unstoppable grit. There was nothing that could dim her shine. She poured her whole heart into her craft and into the people around her, always showing up and supporting others in anyway that she can. Her passion made you believe in beauty, in flavor. We are so honored that we had her on our team and to be able to call her family.

Though we lost her far too soon, her light and legacy lives on — in every sweet bite we’ll remember her by, in every bold dream we’ll keep chasing for her, and in every kitchen she inspired. Gianna was one in a million. We miss her dearly, but we carry her joy and strength with us always. Here's to her sweetness, her fire, and the love she left behind.

Today is the home opener for the of their inaugural season.

We are honored to have been part of their pre season celebrations and hope to continue to celebrate their inaugural season. San Diego has been longing for sports teams to call this city their home just like we do. This time of year marks the beginning of San Diego's most exciting sports teams to begin their seasons. The addition of MLS to our city is the perfect match.

Having a family meal with our foodie family is exactly how we want to celebrate our 20th!

Sharing a family meal is one of the best ways to bring everybody together in a traditional kitchen. We have expanded this ritual to include all our departments- helping connect teams and individuals together. It's such an important way we can help take care of each other.

To celebrate our 20th birthday, our team worked together to create a more grand version of our typical family meal. We got to share our favorite memories and catch up, but most importantly celebrate each other, the company, and all that we have accomplished together.

Don't let the rain take away from your big day.

When the rain crashes your big day, it can be a total bummer. BUT! That shouldn't stop you from having the best day ever. As professionals, we are equipped and ready to handle these situations.

Here are some of our tips about preparing for the rain:
- Create a back up plan: If you're getting married during San Diego's May Gray, June Gloom, or our rainy season, it's important to keep the weather in mind. If possible, choose a venue that has an indoor option or covered area. You can also add rentals for tents of canopies to help keep you and your guests dry.

- Communicate with your vendors & guests: Weather can be unpredictable, but it is important to inform your guests and vendors what the plans are if anything does change. If you have alternative plans, always communicate them with your vendors so that they come prepared.

- Stay positive! Keeping the mood lighthearted and energy high. Embrace it, it can create fun moments you'll never forget. Plus- having rain on your big day is also a sign of good luck.
