I’ve taken thousands of pictures just like this. 10 years of capturing the joy of new life. The fear of the unknown. The in between.

I wasn’t sure I would ever have photos like this of my own. For years I had given up thinking it was “too late” for me, and then Johnathan came along and changed everything. He proved that my long standing belief of magic and soulmates was real, but more than that, he made me have hope of one day becoming a mother.

We lost a little one last year, and for a moment we thought we may just stop there. But that pesky little soul was still there; flittering about, letting me know that if we chose… it was ready.

And then one day, so were we.

Two months later at 6:00 in the morning, on a blow up mattress in the living room of my sister in laws house I got to wake up Johnathan and show him those two pink lines.

Week after week we focused on a sticky baby. Happy, healthy and whole. And here we are.

Coming March 2025. We can’t wait to meet this little woo baby 🥹

I have known Eric and Ally for coming up on eight years, and after my dad and I had the privilege of designing and creating Aly’s ring, I got to photograph their engagement session last week! Maternity has always been one of my very favorite things to capture. It’s such a short glimmer in time where the woman is becoming a whole new person. And a whole new soul is about to be earthside but isn’t quite yet. The magic is always palpable to me. The older I get and the more birth I witness the more in awe I am of every woman who has ever walked this path. 🫶🏻

Has it been 5 months? Yes. HOWEVER, this vow renewal deserves a permanent place on the feed because it is 😮‍💨😮‍💨 and also… a client texted me and asked if I was ok yesterday which means I’ve been MIA over here for too long 😂 has kept me busy this year!

When asked me to do a “dudeoir” shoot to gift for their anniversary, I knew that I was going to have to creatively stretch myself. I’m wicked good at bo***ir, but could I pose a dude in that setting?
