We had an event last week where the guests haven't had a live event since Covid, and we were lucky enough to bring them entertainment. Our new 'Champagne Stilt Walker' served a custom teal champagne with edible glitter as well as a strawberry dessert later in the evening. We also had our custom-built motorized lollipop lyra, a POI spinner and a ball walking POI spinner. It was a magical evening in San Diego for a corporate event.

Here are some March highlights from our 'Champagne and Pearls' show to a custom 'Beatles' show, 'The Wizard of Ahs' and much more! We had singers, dancers, acrobats, magicians, a general session opener and characters as well as an Impala lowrider! What a fun crazy month. 2023 was quite a memorable year for us. We are so grateful to our clients who trust us to provide outstanding entertainment experiences around the world, to our talented performers- who are the best of the best and work so hard to always bring excellence to every event and to our creative team- who continually amaze us show after show. We had such a great time at Sycuan Casino's 40th Anniversary event in San Diego last Saturday. We had 28 performers on the casino floor including aerialists, stilt walkers, dancers, jugglers, ribbon dancers and we debuted our new 'Champagne Stilt Walker' dress as well. A big thanks to our client and the Sycuan Team!

Last week we debuted our new desert themed carpet dress. We have redrawn and redesigned what the traditional 'Red Carpet' welcome dress can be for events. We had such a FUN event on Saturday night...our Flashback 80's show! Who can forget parachute pants, neon everything, MTV, jazzercise, and side ponytails?!? Our cast was incredible, we LOVE you XO, and, of course, our resident costume designer John Coulter, who knocked it out of the park as usual. SO much fun! Thank you to our amazing client as well, we are so lucky to do what we do!! Imagination Entertainment

We are having a busy day at the warehouse. Buttercup the carousel horse was moved from the lobby to the shelves, we packed up a bunch of masquerade dresses headed to Canada for a show next week and temporarily moved some sea creatures to the lobby.

Jump, Jive and Fly! Our Retro USO show.

Jump, Jive and Fly takes us back in time to the 1940’s USO era, where we revisit the iconic characters and music that made the period so memorable. Brought to life with headlining singers, energetic dancers and world-class acrobats, this show is accompanied with music from the Andrew Sisters and the Big Band orchestras and classic dances such as the Lindy Hop and Swing, not to mention our acrobatic Rosie the Riveters, who are always a highlight of the event. Patriotic and entertaining, Jump, Jive and Fly is a welcome transport back in time!

WORK: Creative show script, full show concept, costume design, set design, music production, choreography and direction. This show was custom tailored to the client utilizing the military and structuring their company into the event for our client NAVWAR.

From the archives: Petco Park Acrobatics

PROJECT
DESCRIPTION
Working with San Diego’s Pacific Event Productions, we were brought in to create an acrobatic wonderland on the field of Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres, for a private corporate event. Our challenge was to load in, set up, rehearse, perform and tear down everything, including a full size flying trapeze rig, without ground stakes or damaging the field. This event was done during the MLB season. We also had other themed acts including Russian Bar, Hand Balancing, Chinese Poles and various characters mingling throughout the two hour event. Months of planning, meetings, coordination and schematics submitted to the City preceded the actual event. We hit a home run as all went smoothly and the entertainment was a big hit!

What a fun crazy day yesterday! Four separate events in San Diego. Folklorico dancers and a mariachi band for a general session opener. The BEST 'Marty and Doc' at a 'Back To The Future' event. We also had caricature artists with palm and tarot card reading as well as a band on the USS MIDWAY!

Along with our Greatest Show extravaganza, the night prior in Phoenix we helped create an Alice meets Steampunk event. We had entertainment greeting guests as they boarded busses to the venue as well as both Alice and Steampunk characters and acts in five different themed rooms. As always, we are deeply grateful for our amazing clients and our spectacular talent!

Come One Come All! This past week we were thrilled to create a custom Greatest Showman show for one of our repeat clients. It was definitely over the BIG top! We had a cast of over 30, which included roaming performers along with the unique Gantry entertainment at the reception, then inside with a full show of singers, dancers with roaming and headlining acrobats. We also brought in the lighting, sound, and video walls with custom graphics. Thank you as always to our amazing talent and also to our client for giving us this wonderful opportunity to create!

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Antonio Moore! An amazing coach, talent scout, a performer and Moore! :) Antonio has been a part of Imagination Entertainment since 2004. He has been a valuable piece to our endeavors, and we wish him an amazing day.

Antonio grew up in Chicago competing in gymnastics and performing with the Triton Trooper Circus. He became a walk-on gymnast at the University of Illinois and shortly after moved to California to perform in our Cirque de la Mer show at SeaWorld San Diego. He has continued to be a sought-after performer in the industry and has performed acrobatics in over ten different Cirque du Soleil shows around the world! He most recently worked as a head coach and consultant for new projects for Cirque de Soleil. He has also worked with the WNBA and as a featured stuntman in films and commercials.
