Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary, Andrew & Des! 🥂✨

On weekdays (M-F, 9am-3pm), private 1 hour rentals are only available for the Mayor’s Balcony or the 4th Floor Gallery. If your dream is to have that massive, grand Rotunda all to yourself, you’ll need to a weekend booking! 🏛️

Dreaming of a Palace of Fine Arts ceremony? This was a venue on my planner bucket list that I was thrilled to work at 😍. It’s a total steal at less than $2,000 for a 3-hour rental, but there are a few things to know:

📸 Public Park Reality: The park stays open to the public. You can’t gate off the area, so expect tourists and onlookers to be part of your day.
🛡️ Security is Essential: It’s a public landmark; professional security is a must to keep your space defined and bags safe.
🚫 The “No” List: No flower petals, no balloons, and no amplified sound — but battery operated speakers are allowed
💨 The SF Breeze: It’s an absolute wind tunnel—plan your hair and veil accordingly!

The Verdict: If you can handle a little logistical puzzle and a public spotlight, it’s the best value in the city.

8 rounds of linen reviews and a lot of trust later… seeing our dream wedding come together was pure magic. ✨ (Swipe to slide 2 for the “before”!)

As a pro planner, these 3 tips were the key to finally turning off my “work mode” so I could actually enjoy my day:

1️⃣ The Mockup is Non-Negotiable: See your rentals in person! We combined 3 different textures and colors of linens—a risk I never would have taken just looking at a digital screen. Thanks to the team which I bothered a ton 🧵
2️⃣ Trust the Experts: Choosing vendors you have genuine creative chemistry with allows them to truly work their magic. Shout out to all our vendors and especially for her beautiful floral work that was fundamental in the design 🪷
3️⃣ Fashion AND Function: We mixed serpentine tables into the floor plan to “break the grid.” It looked editorial, but guests raved that the curves made conversation feel so much more natural.

Our wedding is officially featured on so I’m finally spilling the tea on our thought process 🍵😉 — starting with the foundation: The Venue. 🍇🍂

Here are the questions we asked ourselves touring venues and ofc passed the test. 👇

1️⃣ The “Vibe” Test: Does the aesthetic align with your vision even without $$ rentals?
2️⃣ The “All-In” Price: What’s the total after the “plus-plus” (tax, tip, and service) and are we comfortable with that?
3️⃣ The Labor Factor: Does the venue provide the basics (tables/chairs) or are you paying extra to bring everything in?
4️⃣ The “Lock-In”: Is the venue flexible with outside vendors + BYOB, or are we stuck with a strict list?
