We are SO excited to kick off our next round of artist spotlights for our show this may 17th with our very own original sadboi selecta!

Shireen Deo, also known by her DJ moniker ‘original sadboi selecta,' is one of the founding
members of BABS Productions; with a sound that blends the depths of 140 dubstep with the
raw emotion of emo, and post-hardcore, she has quickly become a treasured member of the
Bay Area scene. Shireen's musical roots can be traced back to her teenage years growing up in
the Bay Area, where she immersed herself in the city's vibrant punk and hardcore scenes. After
discovering the world of dubstep, and falling in love with its dark, cavernous soundscapes,
Shireen began experimenting with blending the two genres, giving birth to her signature 'sadboi'
sound. Her sets are a seamless fusion of gut-punching basslines, melancholic melodies,
creating an atmosphere that resonates with a diverse crowd of music lovers.

Original sadboi selecta will be gracing us with opening duties, so get there early to watch her
kick off the night real proper! 😤🔥 We have a full night of amazing music including Graymatter,
Bukez Finezt, and Jokerofficial_page - plus painters and vendors! Get on those tickets now! We are

Your favorite local homie gang is back with our freshest lineup drop thus far. On Friday, May 17th we're bringing two of dubstep's heaviest hitters to the Bay: JOKER (Jokerofficial_page) and Bukez Finezt !! Supporting these legends will be Denver selector GrayMatter and our very own Original Sadboi Selecta.

We're returning to one of our favorite venues: The Continental Club in Oakland, and if you came through for our Mystic State show there last fall, you know you're in for a treat. We'll be stocking the space with local artists and vendors from our community, so make sure and come thru to support our beloved local bass music scene.

For our next epic adventure, we've recruited one of our favorite artist groups in the whole, entire bass music scene: Mystic State !!

Huge thanks to everyone who came out for the Distinct Motive show last Friday! We haven't seen a crowd dance that hard in such a long time, so thank you to everyone who came and raged out with us.

Keeping that momentum rolling, we are SO stoked to announce that we’re teaming up with the homies SOUNDPIECES to host beloved bass legend Phaeleh at 1015 Folsom next Thursday, August 17- one week from tomorrow! The main room will be split like old school 1015 used to be, and we've put together a stacked front room lineup with some of our very favorite Northern California bass artists: Seeded Vision, MOZI , White Gravy and Faulkner! These artists are brand new to the BABS Productions roster and we are so stoked to be hosting them 🔥

Doing art full-time for the last 4 years, his works have evolved into a dynamic blend of macabre and magic.
Born in Russia, raised in the Bay Area and now living in Chico, CA, Daniil draws inspiration from folklore, and the juxtapositions between nature and industry. Blending light and dark into one truth, his iconic one-of-a-kind clothing designs are created by a process of bleach dye, bleach scribing, fabric marker and air brush techniques that produce unique alternative fashion.

Hailing from Oakland, California, khariszma secured her place as a powerhouse in the bass music scene by working behind the curtain as the creator of CouchFam and Bay Area Bass Scene. An avid music collector, khariszma amassed a large Soundcloud following before touching a mixer because of her meticulously curated playlists showcasing the deep, dark, soulful sounds of dnb, jungle, dubstep, 140 and other UK-originated genres. Now, khariszma has stepped out from behind the curtain and moved behind the decks, turning those playlists into thoughtful journey sets, and she is quickly securing her spot as a DJ-who-is-not-to-be-missed in the bass music scene in the Bay Area and Denver where she is a resident of Konkrete Jungle Mile High, as well as a semi-regular streamer on Twitch.

DistinctMotive is a Canadian producer/DJ creating explorative, visceral bass music for the masses. He quickly made a name for himself with his dark and minimal production style. Paying homage to the early aesthetic of dubstep while building a sound unique unto himself, he has put his respective hometown of Toronto on the map in international bass music circles, advocating for the original, dub-influenced side of dubstep to elated audiences across North America and Europe.

In our first collaborative effort, BABS Productions and Thematic Entertainment, in conjunction with Heavy Traffic Radio & Recordings, are thrilled to host the Bay Area debut of Canadian dubstep legend DistinctMotive in The Midway SF's Gods and Monsters room on Friday, August 4th, 2023! Featuring special guest MuteD DiagraM out of Denver, CO, supported by local heavyweights LB & Konfusion and khariszma, and with visuals by Chicago VJ extraordinaire Ivy Visuals.

Excited to be able to announce that, for our next show, we will be working with our friends and on a three room 1015 takeover with headlining the main room. We're bringing a super stacked support lineup to throw down in the basement. We are honored to work with these legends, and to contribute to this insane lineup!

For our room takeover we wanted to do something special, so not only did we fill the line up with some of our most talented BABs around, but we wanted to bring back one of our favorite BABS members .official !! Though he has found a new home in Denver, he's still a member of BABS, and we thought this was the perfect opportunity to bring him back to showcase his sick sound!

With our Wormhole fam upstairs, BABS Production taking over the basement, and the amazing curated Ivy lab tour in the main room, you know this one is not one to miss! Ticket link in bio!

We’ll make it up to you with some more fire underground bass music events this year, and maybe another Chief Kaya appearance in the future!
