Happy four amazing years with the best, most remarkable woman, 🌹Andy🌹

Andy is the powerful force behind Arcana’s success, every day, since before we opened our doors in May 2021. She originally was offered the event curation position, but with the pandemic and us needing to pivot and open as a plant shop, construction and permits being delayed, she found herself stamping shopping bags and drilling screws in the middle of construction dust.

From March to May 2021 she just did the most random things in the world and from May to October, she was a plant shop sales associate. Seeing her talk about plants and pots was such a surreal time but she did it! In all this, she never complained, never said this is not what I signed up for.

🪄October 2021 we opened our restaurant and bar and Andy built the entire natural wine program at Arcana from scratch as well as working the bar, 5 days a week. Always ahead of her time, always having the best taste in everything, we quickly became very successful🥂

2021-2022 Andy continued working as a winetender but also participating in running private events, handing off wine program and moving on to focus on private and public events by 2023.

2023 was the beginning of her killing it with our programming for entertainment and performances but also doing an amazing job with private events and many returning clients and companies. By 2024, she has made a name and a reputation for Arcana’s music program, making us feel that the space is too small for our ambitions 🎭. She has produced hundreds of events throughout the years, from music nights to markets, drag shows, comedy shows and more.

This year, we have been called a breakout venue, our inbox’s exploding⚡️with folks wanting to play here and we owe it all to her. Andy is hands down the most hardworking, impressive, knowledgable, badass event director, Arcana and I could ever ask for.

Two of the favorites from the menu❣️

Our labneh and warm naan have been on the menu since 2021. It’s come and gone in many reiterations, but this one’s our favorite with Persian Barbari bread topped with Kalamata and Castelvetrano olives and za’atar.

The smoked salmon plate is garnished with coriander capers and pickled shallots with a sumac citrus drizzle. It’s served with our fresh herb goat cheese and a chunky pull-part butter bread.
