ANNOUNING THE LOSS OF A DEAR FRIEND, Anastasia Kiriy. MANY OF YOU KNEW HER AS THE BARTENDER AT SUB MISSION. WE ARE TRYING TO HELP HER FAMILY GET HER HOME TO RUSSIA. PLEASE HELP OUT, DONATE, AND OR SHARE THIS. THE OLD STAFF AT SUB MISSION IS AT A COMPLETE LOSS FOR WORDS RIGHT NOW.

To everyone who may not yet have heard the news, Anastasia (Nastya) Kiriy has passed away. Her death came absolutely unexpectedly and is shocking and impossible to comprehend. IN CASE YOU GUYS DONT KNOW BY NOW, SUBMISSION ART SPACE IS SHUT DOWN. WE MAY OPEN A NEW SPACE, WE MAY NOT. IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE RENTS AND SUPPORT WE GET FROM THE COMMUNITY. WHEN WE WERE FORCED TO SHUT DOWN, WE HAD VERY LITTLE SUPPORT AT THE END, WHICH WAS NOT ENOUGH TO SAVE OUR SPACE. THIS MAKES US THINK, HOW MANY ARTISTS, MUSICIANS, DANCERS, ENTERTAINERS ARE LEFT IN THE CITY? WE ARE ALL BEING SLOWLY DRIVEN OUT.

WE ARE GONNA TAKE A BREAK AND LOOK FOR A NEW SPACE VERY SOON. WE HOPE WE CAN FIND ONE THATS AFFORDABLE SO WE CAN CONTINUE TO SERVE THE ARTS COMMUNITY AND YOUTH OF SAN FRANCISCO. THE GOFUNDME FUNDRAISER WILL STILL BE UP AS TO HELP COVER COSTS FOR LAWYERS, AND TO PAY OFF THE ARCHITECT WHO TOOK US FOR A RIDE.
