United Rhythms San Francisco is an all inclusive Performing Arts group formed in 2016 by Health Realization Transformation, owned by Brenda Perdue. URSF is unique because it promotes physical and mental health through dance. URSF celebrates music and dance from around the world as well as collaborates with other Bay Area Artists. Brenda Perdue has a Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice specializi
ng in helping others find their path. Served as a choreographer and instructor for the Mission Cultural Center two years and in 2014, winning 1st place for Contemporary World Fusion. As official URSF in 2016, earned 2nd place in Contemporary World Fusion in its very first year of creation. United Rhythms dancers love being in Carnaval because of the bonds we form, the struggles we overcome together, and the empowerment we feel from dancing and performing. For example, we allow dancers to take on the role of choreographers and instructors and vice versa. URSF’s music and float will highlight the strength of women who are resilient in this chaotic political climate. Our float, painted and designed by Suaro Cervantes and Daniel Planko. Muralists was asked to depict Shiva, the Supreme being who creates, protects and transforms the universe. Like Shiva, United Rhythms strives to be conscious of the problems in our community and act from the heart to promote change. United Rhythms is currently recruiting dancers of all ages, fitness and dance levels to join the fun! Practices are posted on our page through FACEBOOK or INSTAGRAM. We tend to have our group classes moving around the city as we move through different rhythms of the world. We hope you will consider joining the United Rhythms family.
