new mix from Gruv42!!! f**k yeah!!!

After an amazing weekend full of laughter and dancing, then a very full week, it all caught up with me. I woke up this morning running a fever (which is very rare for me) and I'm completely exhausted. I am not getting out of bed at least until at least tomorrow morning. BUT, the good news is that I can deliriously post my set from last weekend for anyone who missed it or anyone who wants to hear it again 😀

This set spans multiple genres and I think it has a pretty cool flow of energy and emotion. I hope you enjoy it!

Creativity definitely moves at its own rhythm, but what I've also found is the deeper importance of not waiting for "inspiration", and instead staying consistently on the grind with doing all the non-sexy work - like digging for a kick drum sound or the right bass sound. That grunt work very typically leads into new ideas and spawns more creativity.

I started messing around with Splice a couple of months ago, and so far I really like it. But the real flex is their mobile app, which means when I'm commuting I can still be musically creative and dig for sounds and do some basic sketches.
Totally digging that!
