The Lost Church is a Low Volume Performance Theater and a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to Creating, Sustaining, and Defending Spaces for Live Performance and the Communities They Serve. Our mission to open more 49-100 seat theaters in the San Francisco Bay Area, in California, and throughout the United States.
Our original TLC venue at 65 Capp Street, San Francisco, is a multi-media theatrical production house and intimate and moving, yet often energetic Acoustic Listening Room.
Americana, Folk, Stripped-down Punk, Acoustic Hip-Hop, Rock, Indie, Singer-Songwriter, Soul, Blues plus Magic, Comedy, Film, Lectures, Spoken Word, Performance Art, Live Podcast Recordings, and Theater all find sanctuary at The Lost Church.
TLC produces content for film, stage and web; with a focus on live performance, and offers space rentals for special events in a unique and beautifully designed two-level venue.

Evening Shows: Doors @ 7:30pm and Show from 8:15pm-10:30pm (unless specially noted).
Matinee Show: Doors @ 2:00pm and Show from 2:45pm-5:00pm
Seating is first come, first served. We recommend you buy in advance to ensure being a part of the event (parlor shows often sell out), but you can also try purchasing at the door on the night of the show.
Online sales are active until 9:30pm the night of show (unless sold out). You can purchase tickets right at the door using a card. Old-fashioned cash is also accepted.
Ages 10 and over are welcome. (Parental discretion is advised for some events).

Booking Parlor Showcases -
We are a low volume music space and performance theater that can accommodate some quiet electric instruments played at an acoustic music volume. Minimal drum kits are welcome. Snare and brushes and light percussion are great. No amps over 25 watts, please.
For music, we host Double Bills (we respectfully request no triple bills, please). We are a two set format.

Include your complete line-up, and links to music where we can listen or websites to review their performance. Please do not send music files. Our Booking Agent will get back to you as soon as possible.
TLC books shows approximately 3-months ahead.
Booking Private Event Rentals -
Our max capacity is 65 (50 seats and 15 standing).
Please contact us with your preferred date and the details of your event for rates.
Evening hours generally are sometime between 5-11:30pm (from load in to load out). Daytime can be between 9am-5:00pm -- based on availability.
Rate Includes: On-site Manager/Doorperson, PA with 3 mics/3 DIs, a film screen (for front or rear projection), wooden folding chairs, two tables (one 3โx4โ wooden table and one 6โ plastic folding table).
Food: Outside finger food, appetizers, and cake or cupcakes prepared by either a caterer or the client are welcome (no messy food, please). There is very little behind the scenes space for preparation or storage of food. Snacks are great, but anything approaching a dinner scenario is not a good fit.
Low Volume Music only, please. Drums are to be played with brushes or hands. DJs are welcome, but no heavy bass or subwoofers, please). Our PA does have a jack to play music from a laptop or other device.
