Turns out TLC were absolutely wrong about chasing waterfalls. You should go do it!

This was one of my many favorite waterfalls that we found along the Road to Hana, Wailua Falls [1st + 2nd photos were right at sunset, 3rd + 4th photos a few hours prior]

Not only was it one of the prettiest but there's a little path to it that allows you to get very close and swim right up to it. (And a friendly fruit vendor to point you in the right direction after you stock up on fresh fruit)

If anyone needs some new art for their walls and wants to look at beautiful Hawaiian waterfall at home hit me up, I would love to make a few prints to sell so I can eat now that I am back home lol

It's Firefall week in Yosemite right about now so I dug up a few of my very favorite photos from a trip up to shoot it a few years back

The Firefall occurs for a few minutes at sunset for a few days in mid/late February when the setting sun shines through the peaks surrounding the valley at just the right angle and hits Horsetail Falls.

The show only happens if the falls are flowing meaning you need a buildup of snow the previous winter, warm enough weather, and clear skies. All of these factors mean there is no guarantee that you'll see anything on a given day/year but when it happens... oh man is it magic.

We just happened to get the perfect weather conditions and some strong winds blowing the powdery snow around creating this spectacular natural view.

Getting this specific angle required hiking up the opposite slope in waist deep powder and spending several hours sitting on a little ledge we carved out of the snow waiting for the perfect moment.

Honored to be featured in Magnetic Magazine who did a lovely writeup of Northern Nights 2022 by Will Vance with a huge feature on Elderbrook featuring a photo diary of his night shot by yours truly!

Working with Elderbrook and his team on this was one of the highlights of my weekend and I'm thrilled to be able to share it with all of you.

The end of February means it's time to revisit what is still my favorite moment as a photographer; Yosemite Firefall 2.21.19

So many factors came together perfectly to create this absolutely once in a lifetime moment, and if I'm honest with myself I'm still chasing that high again.

If you had told me that one of my fondest memories would be climbing up the side of a mountain in waist deep powder, sitting on a little snow ledge for a hours desperately trying to keep my camera warm enough to function, and waiting for a few perfect moments before the terrifying descent back down the mountain in the dark I would have said you were crazy.

Thank you, as with every other year, to Dan Dunn and Afshin Shirazian for making the trip happen and pushing me to actually do this!

Very exciting news today

After months of struggle, my main account and Instagram are finally back!

It looks like someone at Facebook finally realized their mistake and restored my accounts.

Important lesson learned here; be careful what you name your dumb meme group because Facebook will delete you over it and it will take months to fix.

February 1st seems like the right time to post a Christmas photoshoot!

Amy and I had planned this before Christmas but unfortunately had to postpone.

We ended up shooting it around the first week of January instead.

A little late, but we couldn't let an outfit that cute go to waste.
