Primarily a musical r***e, APOCALYPSE SUNDAY features the music of Bay Area horrorbilly faves The Pine Box Boys, singers of songs of murder and misery. The Boys also appear as their alter-ego band Lester T. Raww’s Graveside Quartet, whose music has been described as “Tin Pan Alley charm, with Addams Family grim.” Rounding out the entertainment is “Gentleman” Jimmy Hadley and his songs of debauchery and poor life choices. 4:30pm-7:30pm/No Cover

Tonight at Madrone Art Bar: A Bright Room Called Day Community and catharsis for our new era. Work through some of your Inauguration Week feelings at a free staged reading of Tony Kushner’s “A Bright Room Called Day,” a play about five bohemian, artsy friends in 1930s Berlin, reacting to the rise of Hi**er.
The bohemian, artsy Madrone Art Bar is the perfect place to gather together and experience this story—please buy some drinks from our hosts and tip them well! And, since this play acknowledges that the LGBTQ+ community is particularly vulnerable to fascist persecution, we are soliciting donations for Lambda Legal. (No donation is necessary to attend.)
