This gallery perfectly captures how the small design details really make a big difference in setting the mood. If you swipe you can see what the flowers look like in the daylight without the candles lit. They look beautiful. But when the lights went down and the pin lighting was set and the candles were lit...BIG MOOD!!! I know in my business it’s sometimes hard for some of my clients to imagine what it’s going to look like. Or why depth and color, vessels+ votives+ linens, and especially lighting are so important in our design process. I’m happy when photographers send me back links so that I can share with my clients. I’m especially thrilled when clients allow me to do my thing and trust me this process. Thank you!!! 💕

I love it when the pictures tell a story. Especially a cute one! This one as you will see is one of the best first looks I’ve personally seen. It was by accident because I was supposed to be gone. (More on that tomorrow 😉) But the sheer joy on his face when he saw the love of his life was just inspiring! I remember feeling very lucky to get to witness this intensely happy moment. I was thankful that of all the jobs in this world my job played a small part on one of the happiest days of their lives. What a privilege! Congrats G+H!!!

I wish you lots of love, good health, happiness, and success in the new year! Let’s do this 2020!!! 🎉

These icy structures were built onsite and featured fairy lights, around 120 ornaments, manzanita, curly willow and almost 30 bunches lunaria. I’m glad I bought them at the end of summer because I needed Every. Little. Last. Branch. 😳Thank you to Liz for the assist! Thank you to Deb & Jacci for the finishing touches. 💕

Thank you so much to for the gorgeous pictures. It’s always a pleasure to work at the Julia a Morgan Ballroom, the honeycomb ceilings are so beautiful. Guys, this is one of my all time favorite cakes. The cake was glorious. 🙌🏽💘

Boy did I miss my grandfather yesterday. We discovered that iPhones make these random videos of pictures in the gallery. We fired some up and suddenly an audio of his voice popped up. He was was saying how much he loved and missed my daughter. It was a video message he had sent when she studied abroad. It caught me by surprise & I fought back tears at our dinner table. My son, who bears his name, sat in his seat and I thought about how much he would have enjoyed the pan con pavo we had last night. It was especially delicious. We talked about my vow renewal (in Paris!) and ate and drank with our teeny tiny family of 10. It was a good Thanksgiving. I hope you had a great day relaxing with your loved ones! 😊 look Daisy I’m still using your family plates! @ Somewhere in San Francisco.

Loving all the Friendsgivings going on in my timeline this weekend! Here is my Friendsgiving place setting with my new friends at I made those little pampas grass wreaths with velvet ribbon and flowers I dried this summer while watching Fleabag. (p.s. So good!)
