Public Service Thing: Fraud/Scam Warning
I’m receiving a bunch of these emails in the past week and you may be as well.
The email, which comes in a variety of wordings, claims to be from Facebook/Meta/“Support Team” or some other variation. It claims your page/account has been found to have one violation or another and will be suspended/blocked/terminated and provides you with a link to contact them to fix/dispute/whatever.
It’s a scam.
If you simply hit reply to the email, you can see the sender’s address is usually from a domain that is not Facebook/Meta -usually a generic Gmail/Hotmail/whatever account.
What they want is for you to click on the link provided where the will attempt to get you to sign in this your personal info
