Aloha by the Bay In the spirit of Aloha, the Nihonmachi Street Fair has begun presenting the "Aloha by the Bay™" music series as part our fundraising efforts.

For the Community, Embracing All Communities. Organized by the Nihonmachi Street Fair, the "Aloha by the Bay™" Music Series is an annual, non-profit charity concert held in San Francisco. This yearly concert brings together the musical talents of Hawai'i and the Bay Area for an evening of island inspired music that embraces our communities with the spirit of Aloha. Proceeds from the concert direct

ly benefit the Nihonmachi Street Fair, a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster leadership and communication skills for our youth, through volunteerism and community service. The youths take an active role and get a first hand experience on the planning and production of one of the longest running community fairs that is held on the first weekend of August. Our hope is that they continue to give back to their communities and plant the seeds of Aloha wherever their paths lead.

💫NEXT NSF EVENT COMING TO JTOWN💫

Aloha By The Bay presented by is back for an intimate concert from !

On Saturday September 28th from 1-3 PM, Hawaiian artist, Nathan Aweau will be performing at here in San Francisco’s Japantown!

Come on down next weekend to enjoy some mid-afternoon drinks & food with lovely Hawaiian music!

There is no entrance fee for this event, but please RSVP to save your seat! You can call Fermentation Lab directly with the phone number above or you can reserve on Open Tables, the link will be in our story post! Hope to see you there! 🌴

Tomorrow’s Aloha By The Bay Pop-Up Hawaiian Concert will close pre-purchased ticket sales IN 1 HOUR!

Ticket purchases through eventbrite will be open until 10:00 PM tonight, if you missed the ticket purchase window, don’t worry! We will still be selling tickets at the door for general seating!

Since the pandemic, the Nihonmachi Street Fair has brought the spirit of Aloha to Japantown through our FREE Aloha by the Bay™ concerts at the Peace Plaza. Thanks to a grant from the Office of Economic and Workforce Development, we've been able to host incredible talents like Patrick Landeza, Steven Espaniola, Faith Ako, Pomaika’i, Na Leo Pumehana, Gary Haleamau, Nathan Aweau, Ho’okena with Kumu Hula Nani Dudoit, Ei Nei, Kamaha’o Haumea-Thronas, Azure McCall, Namaka Cosma-White & Sean Parks, and Hoaka with Shane Kahalehau all stellar performers who shared the aloha spirit here in Japantown.

With the Peace Plaza under renovation until 2026, we're determined to keep the Aloha alive in Japantown. To continue offering FREE outdoor concerts and our annual Street Fair, we're hosting a fundraising concert on Saturday, August 17th at the Hotel Kabuki.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of Hawaiian music and culture as we raise funds to keep this beloved tradition going. Your support will help us bring even more amazing artists to the stage and ensure that the Aloha spirit thrives in our community.

Nihonmachi Street Fair’s Aloha By The Bay Concert is returning NEXT MONTH!

This beloved Hawaiian Pop-Up concert will be happening on August 17th at and the show will begin at 6 PM!
