This month we are studying the first position together as part of our "Home Stretching Calendar Challenge".

Mr. Yu always uses a marination analogy comparing ballet basic training. Just as a quick marinate won’t bring out the true flavor in cooking, rushing through ballet basics doesn’t allow students to build the control, strength, and precision needed for more advanced steps. By studying the key elements of the first position, we aim for parents, students, and the school to share a mutual understanding of ballet’s foundational discipline.

This will help us to create a collaborative environment, allowing our young dancers to grow their skills with patience,discipline and precision.

Kids are finishing strong for the 2023-2024 Home Stretching Calendar Challenge. We can't wait to see them on stage to receive the hard earned medallion on the Performance Day 5/19.

This month instead of sending monthly stretching challenge calendar, we would like to celebrate the incredible efforts of mothers in our lives with our special coupon book! Designed to honor the dedication of mothers who drive their children to ballet school, style their hair, and volunteer their time for the performance and pay the tuition to support their passion, our coupon book is a great way and tool for our kids to learn and show their appreciation. This year our diverse program includes classic tales to vibrant new creations. Together we will experience the elegance of the classic "Swan Lake" performed by our talented adult dancers. Be mesmerized by the revival of "Mozart Harmony Reveries," a ballet that celebrates the beauty of classical music in a contemporary light. And take an adventure with our world premiere ballet "Three Ballet Musketeers".

Our children will also bring the classic "Swan Lake" into life with their grace, unique natural character and talent. Delight in the new choreography "Peter Pan and Tinker Bells" performed by our young boy and girls. To continue celebrating the Chinese New Year, it was a pleasure to participate in a charity performance event at the Bay Area Senior Apartments. Our girls presented an interesting "Ballerina Dolls" dance to wish the seniors at the Redwood Senior Apartments a happy Chinese New Year, and the children's dance also brought them much joy. February happened to be the birthday month of two girls 🎂, and as they gave their blessings, they also received the heartfelt blessings from all the people, making it a valuable ballet dance experience and the best birthday gift they could receive! 🎁㊗️ Wishing all the seniors a happy Chinese New Year, good health, and a prosperous soul!

In 2024, we're gifted with an extra day in February, marking it as a leap year. Today is also the Chinese New Year Eve. Yu Xin Ballet School would like to extend our warm wishes for a joyous Chinese New Year in 2024 to you. To celebrate we're sharing a cherished competition recording of "Flames of Paris" by Mr. Yu Xin from the 1994 USA Jackson International Ballet Competition. In the final week of 2023, children of Yu Xin Ballet worked diligently to showcase their ballet techniques. We would like to thank the parents for their support and encouragement. Together we witnessed and celebrated for every small step taken in their journey. Our talented parents and grandparents also got a chance to dance with their children to experience the fun and hard work of the dance class. Kids were very proud,satisfied and happy. May the love for dance and the beautiful interaction between parents and children continue to thrive in our dance family. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎆🎊🎉
