Discodisiac has been djing for over 4 years, and as much as she has always loved sharing other people’s music on the dance floor, she has just recently found a way to be able to share her own. Just less than 3 years ago, Discodisiac entered the music scene as a spoken word vocalist and artist. With her voice featured on over 25 tracks, she has collabs with Ciszak, Boiz House and Sammy Legs, and has released music on Desert Hearts Black, Space Yacht, and Boiz House Records.
Don’t let her name fool you though. Discodisiac does not just play disco. Discodisiac truly believes that music is an aphrodisiac, and she hopes to provide an experience on stage that will make you feel the same.

We Welcome back our favorite Boy Band- @boizhouse
Bridging the gap between DJ sets and live instrumentation, Boiz House combines the excitement and spontaneity of a jam band with the energy of a club set. Listeners will experience the funky grooves of house & techno music, the playful storytelling of hip- hop, the other-worldly unpredictability of psychedelia, the charming melodies of nostalgia, and the raw, brute strength of subharmonic frequencies.
An unwavering belief in each other and in their music has garnered Boiz House an extensive network of grassroots support, leading to performances in 2022 at Dirtybird Campout, Northern Nights, Lucidity, Shabang, Bass Camp, and Moonlight Mirage.
We first discovered Boiz House at Lucidity 2019 for their first ever live performance, and shortly after SubSessions provided the stage for their 2nd ever live performance at Stoke The World 2019. We look forward to having them back to share their growth and developed sound!

Day 2 of Black Voices of SLO brings us visual artist and African drummer Abbey Onikoyi, actor Joel Kayima and veteran DJ Velanche
Session 1: Abbey Onikoyi
Abbey Onikoyi is a Nigerian born artist whose color palette intertwines with the heartbeat of a drum. He studied in Chicago and opened the Spirits of Africa art gallery when relocating to San Luis. He now runs local drum circles that are open to the public.
Session 2: Joel Kayima
Joel Kayima’s piece, ‘My Black Experience,’ will look at living on the Central Coast through a racial lens. Joel gives voice to the personal level, as well as the history of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Session 3: DJ Set by Velanche
With 30+ years of experience, spinning all genres, Velanche will be providing a sophisticated soundscape mixed together with the utmost care and skill.

A Message From The Landfill Stage:
The Landfill is a concept that comes out of our reflections drawn from the industrialist and modernist society we live in. Superfluous production and waste overflow. Due to the rise of plastic industry and economic globalization, one of our society's growing burdens is waste. As a call to environmental awareness and the absurdities of materialistic culture, this stage will be composed almost entirely trash and recycled materials -- found and constructed from the back alleys and dumps of San Luis Obispo. This interactive environment will be brought to life with the sounds of some of California's most talented musicians, and the team's personal friends. All are welcome and invited to channel your inner creature in this space.

Nightlife Savings Origins:
The real question is why have we never celebrated the extra hour of sleep (or dancing) we have gotten every fall. It’s a shame, but there’s a chance with THIS YEAR’S elections that the Daylight Savings Hour could be removed due to monetary benefits. To celebrate this odd occurrence (what could be the last ever time change) and this beautiful season change, dance through the daylight and into the darkness with us for a full 14 hours of music, art, and more across 3 main stages AND a surprise performance during THE HOUR that is given back.
