The only request was to create something natural and unique with shading from the afternoon sunshine. I love when I’m trusted with a beautiful challenge! To frame E + J Hearst and the endless Pacific Ocean background we harvested and hauled a 15’ trailer full of Blue Gum eucalyptus to the hilltop edge of Hearst Castle in San Simeon, California. The branches were the twisting puzzle pieces that our team maneuvered to create a cathedral shaped arbor. It was then draped with soft gauze and adorned with native foliage and locally sourced blooms. All of our ceremony designs are created on site…it’s the best way for the surrounding, existing canvas to lead us in scale, color and shape!
