Will there ever be another moment when you feel so wonderfully and joyfully young? Because this day, this moment, is the foundation of everything to come.

“Relaxed editorial” is a part of my photography style- photographs that feel like a fashion magazine and have those modern, chic “vibes” that are intentional and sophisticated, but “relaxed” because unlike a fashion magazine, these are wedding photos and so there is a candid and spontaneous feel to them as well, rather than stiff poses. You can see that the couple is having fun and creating memories while also looking super 🔥.
Photos like these do take some planning and thoughtfulness to weave into a wedding day. I LOVE working with couples who are up for some creative and fashion forward ideas- I’ll take the lead if you give me permission, and I’ll also make sure that these photos are a seamless part of your wedding and you don’t miss out on the day to take them.
Photojournalism and candid moments will always be the most important part of capturing a wedding day for me. But adding in moments like these and making sure the couples gets to express themselves, adding in artistic flair and a bit of the unexpected to the day- I mean, why not? Taking photos should be as fun as everything else on your wedding day.

I can’t think of a couple who has more joy and fun in their natures than Emily and Taylor. Talk about CUTE - and their day was just such a perfect reflection of this.
From the gorgeous views of Santa Barbara to the little touches like a shoe station and an outdoor beer shower, every part of their wedding was full of fun.
They used bright tropical florals which perfectly complemented beautiful Santa Barbara and was such a unique touch. Their wedding was relaxed and down to earth but also with the perfect amount of elegance and charm.
It was so hard to find just 20 favorite photos, so you’ll be seeing more of this gorgeous day soon!

You can do anything you want to do for your engagement session, but I think it’s extra special if you can find somewhere that’s meaningful to you and spend an afternoon taking photos there. Maybe something that you enjoyed to do together like strolling along the beach, or a place that was part of your love story and how you met.
It’s so much fun hanging out with my couples who are on cloud nine, I can’t help but feel a little bit lucky that this is actually what I do for a living!
