This is going to be a bit taboo, considering the overwhelming use of the following catchphrase in our profession. We aren’t crafting a love story, nor are we storytellers. Not fundamentally. ve. If you ask us, your story was already foretold; some would say it’s written into the fabric of our universe. It might be more accurate to say we’re in the business of creative preservation. Sure, that’s not as catchy as a storyteller. But years from now, when your grandkids start entertaining their own notions of love — when they ask mom and dad how grandma and grandpa make it work so well — this Wedding Film will resurface. Dusted off and scanned into the holodeck thingy only the kids know how to operate. We’ll take them back to a day when two people committed life and love to one another and danced and cried and got really drunk. In love, of course. (Never mind that bottle of cinnamon-flavored whiskey the Best Man taped his GoPro to and “forced” everyone to guzzle). WE’RE MARRIED!!! 💕✨ ⁣

Amongst all the hustle and bustle of a very busy 2022 Colton and I planned an intimate wedding in Yosemite Valley. ⁣
⁣
And I have to say the last few weeks we really understood what our couples go through with planning a wedding! ⁣
⁣
Up until a few days before was all the stress of writing vows, getting details, finalizing shot lists, packing, talking to vendors and making sure we were still filming/editing our butts off!!⁣
⁣
Not only that but about two weeks before we realized that we were gonna have SNOW!! ❄️⁣
So coordinating snow chains and snow clothes for not only us but making sure our guests were prepared was added to the list…⁣
⁣
But once we had arrived at our destination our wedding dreams became reality! ✨⁣
The snow stormed all day prior leaving us with a winter wonderland on wedding day!⁣
⁣
And could not have asked for a more perfect team of not only our vendors.. but as our friends too. 💕 They steadied our worries, answered all our questions and worked tirelesly to make sure we knew they were there for us! Especially in John’s ( Steelhead) case working around a Snow Storm in Washington that shut down his flight! And still figured out how to make it in time! 😵⁣

..We cannot thank them enough for how much work they put into making our day nothing short of magical!! ⁣

These two taught us so much about embracing every bit of their personal story into their wedding day! ✨💕⁣

For instance, & handmade their bracelets and had a special swapping ceremony when they got down the aisle. We gotta say it was one of the cutest things we’ve ever seen! Oh and did we mention they had glow in the dark wedding bands?!⁣
⁣
You’ll have to wait and see on all the others, but I will say there might be a banana involved 😆🍌⁣
