As we count down & prepare to put 2023 to bed, we’re reminded of all the many blessings this year has brought with it. It’s been a year that has challenged us in so many ways but has also brought so much growth. We’re so grateful for our family, team, clients and loved ones who give deeper meaning to this work & have been a part of so many heartwarming and magical moments that we’ll forever hold onto. Oh sweet Caroline and Dan! You are what magic is made of! From your engagement party last year to your I do’s this weekend and all the planning in between it’s been such a gift to see your goodness and know the kind hearts you are! Your love was built on a rock and it is a beautiful thing to find something so constant, solid and immovable as what the two of you have found in each other!

So excited to be over on @100layercakelet today celebrating cutie patootie Arlo’s first birthday! It’s always such a joy when our sweet couples turn parents & come back, giving us another opportunity to celebrate with them! How we cherish getting to meet the newest members of their family! We instantly fell in love with the most adorable birthday boy and knew from the start that we wanted to make this day as special as he is!

Arlo’s mama, Elizabeth shared with us his favorite picture book that she would read to him each night - Hello, hello! It became the perfect inspiration to drive our design! This book explores seeing & appreciating nature & all of our endangered species. We were excited to create a space that would allow big and little guests to experience this book and enter it’s curios world!

Quotes from the book were woven throughout the event and a “Hello Neighbor, Hello Friend” wall with stuffed endangered species invited each of the kids to adopt one to take home at the end of the party. Another “Hello Land + Hello Sea” wall held different sensory bins filled with textures & toy animals and was a favorite place where the little ones could play throughout the party! Guests were welcomed to snack on yummy grilled cheese + ice cream sandwiches underneath striped fabric covered cabanas accented with whimsy balloons and florals while seated down to place settings that mimicked lion manes. A check-patterned bar that was nestled between trees served up cocktails that played to all of the different animals in the book inviting the adults to sip on a “Something Whoa,” and “Something Wild,” while the littles sipped on a mocktail named “Something Tame.”

And of course, nothing says first birthday like a smash cake! Sweet Arlo gave his cake a gentle massage before diving in! 😂 it was such an incredible day to be a part of and we’re so grateful for our team that came together for our favorite party animals!
God Morgan! Lucia day with my little loves! In an attempt to surprise the kids this year we pushed our Saint Lucia day tradition to this week and held it following a Christmas cousin sleepover. It was a chance to all be together and the children doubled and tripled up in our bedrooms after a fun night of family gathering, playing Christmas bingo and caroling to the neighbors. My darling niece Ruby joined my Milla for the first time in waking early and preparing the hot cocoa and cookies for the other sleeping little ones. Such a treasure to wake alongside my sister and help them get dressed while trying to contain their morning giggles as Milla taught and practiced the song with Ru and their candlelight glowed in the stairwell. 🕯️ I will never tire of seeing Milla tiptoe up to the bedrooms singing and looking like an Angel and this year to have the two of them was such a treat! #saintluciaday #cookiesandcocoa #christmastradition
