Shaking things up with a fresh twist on party favors for this little one’s first birthday bash! Inspired by the whimsical Children’s storybook “The Wonderful Things You Will Be”, we dreamed up a world where these tiny tots become music makers! Deets so sweet you could eat em! We have a passion for working with an array of colors, patterns, and textures to give life and charm to the weddings we help create. From the delicate blush florals floating down the cake to the caned and woven tabletop elements with vibrant pops of citrus this wedding showed off all the summer sand and sunset tones for our Janine and Vince who spent their first date on a lifeguard stand! Where there’s a Will there’s a way! A Will Call that is! Throwing it back to the wedding of our very own cuties Will & Kate where guests collected their tickets that led them to their seats as a nod to Will’s career as a visual effects director for some of everyone’s favorite movies! An array of pendants and blossoming wreaths hung above tables in the summeriest tones creating a dinner that honored their loved ones. We have this day forever on replay in our hearts! 💕

1,000 paper cranes and 1,000 wishes! Simple yellow paper squares were transformed into artful origami cranes with wishes of success and good fortune written on the wings. The crane is a strong symbol in Japanese culture, and when folded into origami, it is believed your heart’s desires will come true! Sending all our continued wishes of love to Kimmy and Alex!

Runway worthy! We are currently obsessed with real florals worn from head to toe and made dreams come true when he carefully hand stitched hundreds of delicate flower heads to the bride and bridesmaid’s dresses, also adorning their crowns & hair! This labor of love look paired with beautiful bouquets from created a bridal party garden all its own reminiscent of friendships that have continued to grow in our bride’s life.

As a planner I am not known to be someone who loves surprises. Surprising right? 😂 BUT my sweet Navy Jane, you were and always will be the exception to that rule! 12 years ago you came into our lives as the happiest of surprises and have been dancing and cartwheeling your way into our hearts ever since!
While I have spent my days in pursuit of planning for all the outcomes so as to avoid the unexpected, just 5 short months after your brother was born I found out you were on the way! You quickly began teaching me of the beauty in the unexpected! I never could have expected that your life could bring as much joy as it does into all of ours. I never could have expected that spontaneous family dance parties would get even better with you there. I never could have expected that messes left behind from craft projects would warm my heart. I never could have expected that home spa treatments would reach pro level with your love for serving others and that your wit and creativity would inspire my own. I never could have expected that I would find myself in awe of you and feel so honored to get to spend my life just being your mama and watching you grow. You have an infectious giggle and a contagious joy for life! We love you so much NJ! This is being 12 💕
On this Memorial Day we would like to celebrate love and unity while paying tribute to the brave individuals who have given their lives in service to their country. We also recognize the incredible sacrifice made by our military men and women in uniform and those who love them. It is always so moving to witness the camaraderie that comes with a wedding ceremony where so many are in uniform. Ally and Chris’ day was filled with meaningful moments such as this and we were so thrilled to see them reunited for their wedding after enduring a long distance deployment. Such sacrifice speaks to their character, their patience, and their love of each other and we felt honored to serve them in a small way.

It’s been a big a big busy week for us over here with three events and a walk through in Ojai (with the most darling couple!), but we were completely overwhelmed with gratitude to be awarded Best Event Designer by California Weddings Magazine at their gala this week! True friendship shines brightest in the role of Maid of Honor! Sending all our love and appreciation to all of you who contribute so much to making the day something special for your besties. From helping them get dressed with a million little buttons, to holding their bouquet, to keeping them company in the bathroom, to keeping them hydrated and tissues on hand for happy tears… We’ve seen so many ways they have shown up! How have you seen a Maid of Honor support a bride on her big day?
Julia and Jeff’s elegant garden wedding was recently featured in San Diego Style Weddings Magazine and we’ve been flipping through its beautiful pages!! The bride and groom wanted their reception to evoke quiet luxury and feel effortlessly refined. We wove approachable textures, like distressed wood and iron, with garden elements to create a space that was both humble and grand.

Guests were directed to their seats with es**rt cards planted in garden soil. They then made their way over to their wood and wrought iron seats with tables topped with garden flowers and herbs that Julia later repurposed and planted in her home herb garden. All eyes were on the head table framed with a custom built cabana with linen valences by and for a fun juxtaposition gourmet burgers and French fries were served plated table side! Cara and Christian’s wedding broke the mold! All the details for their special day went together effortlessly. Being in the role I am, I have the privilege to see mothers. To really see them. To see their care, their concern and their hearts after raising their daughters and sons and celebrating them as they take the next step into families of their own. I see the emotions that it brings and recognize that even when the children are grown, a mother will forever be connected even when part of her heart now resides outside of her home. A mother is so many things. It is kindness, sacrifice, compassion and patience. A mother can be a reminder of our worth and our place of belonging in this world. I’m fortunate to have so many examples of motherhood in my life, some that have borne children and others that have not but that have mentored, loved and served and have played a part in my growing and the life of my children. I will forever be grateful for my own mother who taught me my first examples of what it means to love and these 4 beautiful souls that have filled me with a deeper love than I ever knew possible. Finn, Milla, Knox and Navy Jane you are my world and It is my greatest honor to be yours. Happy Mother’s Day to all those who love and teach so that our world may continue to grow even more beautiful.
Did you hear the news? Our very own is expecting a baby boy in October and we are so happy for her and Ryan! It has been such a joy watching her tiny tummy grow and this Mother's Day feels even more special over here this year as the excitement builds! We’re so grateful for her and all that she brings to our team and the families we work with. We know she will pour just as much love into motherhood and her little one, who we can’t wait to meet!! Wishing her a tower of sparkling cider, love and overflowing joy this weekend!
Our bride, Meili, grew up spending the holidays gathered with her large family at her grandmother's home, Rancho Vera Cruz! Since this property was so near and dear to her, Meili and Tom knew it was the perfect place to host their wedding day! Meili, originally from California, and Tom, originally from London, found a blend of the two places they were raised and the heritage that came with it in their wedding design. Guests were welcomed with English tea, as a nod to Tom's roots and Meili's own cultural ties. With a champagne donkey and dancing in the barn (just like Meili's childhood), their wedding day was truly a day of celebration!
We loved bringing this day to life, so much so, that we're partnering with Meili's family to bring Rancho Vera Cruz to the market as a wedding venue! Stay tuned for more on that soon 😉

Always such a pleasure reminiscing about our Nicole and Cort! Their big day was like the happiest family movie - dear and heartwarming! Together with their close ones they shared love, memories, and popcorn on such a special day for their family! The es**rt display offered a wide variety of all their favorite flavors from their family movie nights and gave their guests an added experience for all who came to see this premier from the first row!
