Budgeting may be the least fun out of the whole wedding planning process but It is very important nonetheless! When creating and maintaining a wedding budget follow these simple steps:

Count the cash: take into account all the cash you have saved that you are planning to use for your wedding as well as all of the monetary gifts you have received to put towards the big day. Consult family on anything they want to add and what decision-making power that would give them.

Track Your Spending: even though it may be tedious, make sure to write down every single expense you incur throughout the whole process. No matter how small, it still is included in your wedding budget as a whole.

Choose Your Non-negotiables: sit down with your partner and discuss what things are most important to you. This in turn will give you a better grasp on what you’re willing to spend more on and what you are wanting to save money on.

Charge Responsibly: we all know it’s easy to rack up that Amazon cart with all kinds of DIY wedding details and miscellaneous wedding charges but when it comes to your budget as a whole, take into account your non-negotiables and remember what things you REALLY want to allocate your funds on. Don’t let the little things become big things as they eat up your wedding budget.

Never doubt a wedding coordinator- we can fix the stain on the wedding gown, give orders to 3 assistants, calm down the overly stressed MOB, line up 5 intoxicated groomsmen, and cue the ceremony musicians...all at the same time.

When writing vows, I would recommend spending time creating something of your own, something that will be coming from the bottom of your heart. Say what you think is important. There are no rules.
- Start early! Trust us. You will rewrite what you have many times. Give yourself at least 3-4 weeks.
- To understand what to write about, think about your loved one. What do you feel thinking about them? Who do you become in these relationships? How did you meet and understand that you cannot live without each other?
- What have you done together, and what haven’t? How do you see your life in ten years? What do you want to promise your soulmate? The answer to any of these questions will create the basis of your wedding vow.
- Do not say your vows for long. Give yourself 3-5 min max.
- Do not say anything about your exes or something that can hurt each other.
- Do not be too serious in your vows. Add something that can make your loved one smile.

Personally, food is one of my favorite fundamentals when it comes to hosting a great event. It’s not about having a five-star, four-course meal prepared by a top chef - but it IS about serving your guests a proportionate amount of food relative to how long they’ll be in your company. A two-hour cocktail reception will mean a lighter amount of food than a six-hour dinner reception. An evening reception will likely have more courses than a brunch reception. Know your budget and serve your guests the best food for your investment. If you’re worried about the budget, do what you can to cut back on the guest list. This will have the BIGGEST impact on your wedding budget.

I love the bottle green color of these bridesmaids’ lehengas . Communicating your bridal party outfit vision to a boutique can be challenging. It’s best to set yourself for success by bringing exact images of what you would like and realistically understanding how similar it will look within your budget. If you like a picture but want it in a different shade, bring a picture of that exact shade too. Asking them to create it in “dark green” can mean many different things. Remember, you can customize anything.
