Indoor Retail Fireworks Facility in Sand Springs. During the first four years of operation, Big Blast was a family venture only. was born.

In 1986, the Barbour family began Big Blast Fireworks as a way to provide funds for the education of their children. Fireworks sales provided financial benefits as well as the flexibility their family required to raise three children. The Barbour family has always had a heart for missions and outreach programs. As fireworks sales became more successful, they desired to expand their business in ord

er to assist community outreach programs. In 1991, the Barbours entered their first cooperative fundraising project and Big Blast Inc. In 2007, with a desire to see her family's business expand, Melissa Barbour Torkleson and her husband Chris started Tork Investments LLC, a subsidiary of Big Blast Fireworks. Chris and Melissa will celebrate the grand opening of their first indoor fireworks facility in June of 2011.

Our longest standing partnership is with Harvest Church and has spanned 16 years (14 years in our Sand Springs Superstore and 2 years in a tent at 209th). These two incredible men are amazing youth leaders now but were 6 & 9 years old when the Big Blast/ Harvest Church partnership first started. They have spent every 4th of July selling fireworks for Harvest Student Ministries and never once have I heard them grumble about spending their holiday volunteering. To say I am incredibly thankful to Harvest Church is an understatement, they are loyal, dedicated, humble and produce incredible families who mean the world to us. 🇺🇸💥❤️🤍💙 Harvest Church
