The journey of a tree. All the wood for Starr Pavilion came directly from the property. These oak trees grew on the dam of a neglected pond and had to be removed. There was no way we were gonna turn these beautiful 40 to 60 year old trees into fire wood so the idea of Starr pavilion was born and has been brewing for about 2 years now. When you see Starr Pavilion the size was based on these specific trees. Although cutting them down was sad, we made sure their energy was not wasted and their beauty will remain on the land they came from.

Starr Pavilion timber day

Today was neat, trees that had to come down were used to make the timber for the soon to be erected Starr Pavilion. Sawmill it ALL by Kory Kemp brought his portable mill to The Cove At Shell Lake Venue and milled over 30 oak timber’s in one day! This was an impressive operation.
