WHAT IS CHARCUTERIE?

Charcuterie, a French term for a line of cooking devoted to prepared meat products, primarily from pork & can be defined as the culinary art of preparing various cured meats and preparing them in a diverse way.

Charcuterie can be set up on a flat surface such as a table, counter top, board, or platter. There’s nothing like getting family & friends together to nibble at various food items, that are arranged artfully beautiful, but also delicious!

Charcuterie normally consists of cured meats (prosciutto, salami, bacon). But these days-cheese, fresh & dried fruit, veggies, different meats, bread, dips, spreads, crackers, chocolate, pickles, olives, and nuts can be included. Essentially, anything that is easy to nibble on. Charcuterie is versatile enough for any event or budget.
