Welcome to Tiffin đ
Embracing my multi cultural family background, I like to introduce interesting burst of flavors of Asian cuisine.
Born in Penang, an island in Malaysia. Famed throughout Asia for its heady mix of eastern cultures, Penang Island is Malaysiaâs prime melting pot. Roadside vendors serve some of the worldâs best street food; with a rich cuisine shaped by the islandâs many cultures, including Hokkien, Hakka, and Teochew-speaking Chinese communities, Indian Tamils, Malays, Dutch, Spanish and the British. Itâs niational parks offer white-sand beaches and wildlife; and UNESCO-listed George Town is full of colorful heritage houses.
I am alike jigsaw pieces being part Cantonese, part Peranakan Nyonya, part Teochew and part Thai. Blessed to be spoilt by both grandmothersâ Michelin star home cook food. I have traveled extensively when I was working and indulged many delightful and unforgettable dishes that influenced my cooking palate. Having worked with Shangri-la Group of hotels in food & beverage department as banquet coordinator to public relations and sales, I have worked closely with our team of chefs to set up grand functions, theme parties, food tasting for the press, food photography that sets high standards of food presentations and taste.
I love my food especially desserts. Being busy working I didnât get to personally start cooking till I moved to USA 6 years ago. It has been an adventurous cooking journey for me.
I had wanted to kick start Tiffin earlier for my daughter who loves cooking since she was 6. This will be a platform for me and my daughter when she is on school break to introduce food we both enjoy to you. We are grateful for your kind support and love.
