After working for more than 8 years as the manager for my wife, Carla DelVillaggio, who is a Barbra Streisand tribute artist, I got the "bug" to want to do more in the industry. I've been in "sales" for most of my adult life, so the idea of being a talent agent didn't seem so far-fetched. e I can start working to book other artists, in addition to Carla. I am interested in representing professional artists who have worked hard on their craft and take it seriously. The venues we have been working the closest with are typically those that won't be looking for Lady Gaga, or Justin Bieber, BUT they will be looking for more "classic" entertainers. Many agencies wait for the phones to ring when someone is looking for an act. At Main Event we do it the old-fashioned way - WE make the inquiries. I reach out to my contacts to see what they need in the way of entertainment - whether it be a Barbra Streisand, or Neil Diamond, or Garth Brooks, etc. Maybe they want something different, like magicians and comedians? We can do that as well. In this manner I feel as if I'm working more for the artists. I am on the phone every day calling clients and prospective clients working on getting bookings. My databases are extensive, as we have been building them for more than 13 years. What can we offer our clients? Our clients can expect and are guaranteed a high level of professionalism from anyone we present to them. They can also expect an ease of communication, with rapid responses to inquiries, and anything else that they need. The goal is to work with great talent and give our clients the best for their "entertainment dollars". There is a show for most every budget. We represent Celebrity Tribute Artists, Lookalikes, Tribute Bands, Comedians, Magicians, etc. We are excited to be the "new kids on the block" and look forward to working along with others in the entertainment industry.
