Located just outside of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine and only 40 miles NE of Bangor, Maine. The barn is a replica to the Benjamin Lane barn, which was a popular spot for stagecoach and inn as the between route from Bangor to Moosehead Lake. The farmhouse is New England farmhouse built in 1847. The Timber Hitch is well loved for its post and beam design, stunning landscape and impeccable attention to deal we’ve given to the farm inside and out.
The rental rate includes use of our properties on the event day Friday to Sunday (as an example set up can happen on Thursday or Friday, the rehearsal dinner on Friday, wedding on Saturday and clean up on Sunday). The event day the property and barn are available from 9am to 11pm. Also provided in the rate are beautiful indoor restroom facility with hot and cold running water for you and your guests, an onsite property manager with day-of coordination and light, daily housekeeping, parking attendant. Bride and family are welcomed to get ready inside the home in a private bridal suite and use of a large remodeled private bathroom with clawfoot tub and walk in shower to get ready for the big day.
Our barn itself can accommodate 100 people, however we have capacity up to 170 people for a garden wedding, which is uncovered (optional local vendor for tent rental). We have a collection of decorations, boxes, trunks, tables, easels, chalkboards, chairs, furniture and other props that you are welcome to use at no extra cost to decorate with! We have 10 farmhouse tables, 12 60” round tables, linens, 155 wood folding wedding style chairs and 130 mix match farmhouse chairs.
