Scallops are one of the cleanest shellfish available. The abductor muscle is not used to filter water, so scallops are not susceptible to toxins or contaminants the way that clams and mussels are. Here at the Thistle Lodge Beachfront Restaurant we add a little bit of this and a little bit of that and voilà.... deliciousness. 😋

Our resort features 114 elegantly appointed suites with modern kitchens and magnificent views, along with award winning dining and year round recreation. Position Objective

The Restaurant Manager provides day to day operational leadership to service staff representing all food and beverage activity in Casa Ybel’s unique and special dining outlets ranging from casual poolside dining to elegant culinary experiences at the acclaimed Thistle Lodge.

Position Overview

Maintain and promote standards for food and beverage production and service

Schedule staff, oversee payroll, and effectively use personnel to meet service standards

Utilize supervisory skills to motivate and manage performance

Provide ongoing training to staff following standards and regulatory requirements

Assist Food and Beverage Director in inventory and purchasing of beverages

Maintain inventory and recommend linens and other supplies for purchase

Promote Casa Ybel outlets and dining experiences

Advise Food and Beverage Director on recommendations for improvements

Ongoing support of staff in delivering excellent service

Positive resolution of guest conflicts/complaints

Minimum Qualifications

High School degree with some college preferred

2 years restaurant and beverage experience

2 years supervisory experience

Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and details

Excellent communication skills and a flexibility in communicating with diverse groups

Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time

Willingness to work a typical hospitality schedule: whenever business requires

Knowledge of standard restaurant equipment and POS systems
