A blooming flower that seems to find its way to me as of lately! 💜Hydrangeas🩵
These bushy blooms are big, bold, and transform an arrangement to be more robust and textured. 🪻
These flowers don’t take much to shine or make themselves known, in any environment! Many like to add soil amendments to Big Leaf varieties to change their color, acidic soils bring out more 💙blue🩵 the more alkaline present they pop in 🩷pinks💜!
Hydrangeas are often times a favorite to those with allergies as their pollen doesn’t drop like dust, its sticky and stays in place. Though this flower may not be a favorite for curious 🐱🐶pets, most hydrangeas contain cyanide chemicals in their leaves and can do danger if ingested ☹️
This flower may be cheating since there really aren’t any petals! The bright colors we see are sepals, like the green part under a rose! Sepals are the protectors of a flower, the actual flower part is that Liiiittle bead in the middle of the bright colors🌰🤏
After the last example of flower care, it’s important to note hydrangeas are troopers! They can last for days when well maintained, most like to dip the WHOLE flower in water, since they can absorb through their “petals” and essentially revive themselves or often times they are dried on accident when gone unnoticed until they are moved🤭
Hydrangeas may not be a fan favorite but they do hold a lot of meaning from when they were! Blue meant a great gratitude or understanding,😌Pink for affectionate red for romance🥰white was associated with bragging🫢purple was shared most between friends for great friendship👯♀️ funny how flowers talk without saying a word, don’t you agree?🤔
