Macrobox Meals started in 2016 with two best friends in the kitchen. We believe in healthy food that shouldn’t cost an arm and leg or take hours out of our busy lives. We believe in bringing people nutritious home-cooked meals to their doorstep.
How the Company Started
Sandy, owner, always had a compelling love for food and passion at a young age. Since growing up in her mother’s kitchen, she learned that cooking with fresh and healthy ingredients resulted in meals that were not only nutritious but also delicious and satisfying.
After graduating from University of Riverside, she embarked on a career in accounting. Since she was always busy in the corporate environment, she resorted to eating fast food and take-outs. Not only was she gaining pounds from sitting long hours in a chair, she was losing her self confidence. When her work held a corporate wellness challenge, it created the motivation she needed to better her physique. She began incorporating fitness into her daily routine and educated herself about healthy eating habits. Sandy discovered that calculating her individual macros gave her the optimal result for her goals. For months, she committed to packing healthy lunches while counting macros. With her determination, she won the challenge and lost over 25 lbs. After the challenge was over, she continued her commitment and momentum to eat healthy meal preps at work. Many of her co-workers would say: “Your lunches always look so healthy. I’ll pay you to make my lunch!” With the increasing demand for her meals, she began a new career where she could dovetail her passion for healthy cooking and help others to eat nutritious, fresh meals. Fast forward today. Her company has grown out of her personal kitchen to a commercial kitchen. Her clients has reached from her co-workers to neighboring cities which includes Los Angeles.
