With the Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Celebration coming up in just a few weeks, we’re sharing a clip from their “Get On Board Party” event that was hosted at LoDo studios last fall! The Solstice Board of Directors, artists in residence, sponsors, and staff, and community came together at LoDo Studios to begin to creating the vision for Summer Solstice 2023!
The event included #appetizers from local restaurants, #livemusic, a no host bar, #facepainting, interactive community arts project “Memories in Motion” as well as performances from Mariano Silva and his Brazilian Batucada drummers (@bcacs), the @grooveshine band, @larkbatteau, @laboheme_dance and more.
We are so excited to see their visions from the panning party become a reality at the upcoming parade and festival in just two weeks, on June 23-25!

The 5 hour festival featured local musicians (@cjbmusic, @guru_rilla, @nicolesophiamusic, @brianmckee_ & Thrudemus, @islaviewmusic, @jackson.gillies, @artathlete, @petepidgeon & Arcoda, @neilmusic_ ) and these captivating aerial performers, led by Olivia Davi, moved to the music all night long. Definitely one of the more spectacular sights we’ve seen in out outdoor space at LoDo! 🤩

This Saturday marks the return of #CWABG community conversations! The event will take place in person, Sat., Dec. 3rd 1:30-3:30 at LoDo Studios (convo kicks off at 2).
@CWABG sessions provide an interactive experience rooted in convening authentic conversation about issues of diversity, inclusion, race, privilege, and perspective. These community conversations are a time to share stories, have conversations, impart perspective, or just listen and learn from fellow citizens of the world. The community-building platform has grown to a sustainable movement to help move our country forward, one conversation at a time.
