When the bride’s family is from Hawaii, you do the Japanese banzai toast. What is that you ask? Here is the lowdown: “The word banzai literally means ‘10,000 years’ and is associated with long life. Banzai cheers are given at joyous occasions, banquets and gatherings, to express congratulations, encouragement, or celebration. Traditionally, the participants shout the word ‘banzai’ three times in unison, raising their hands in the air each time.” It was such an awesome custom at this wonderful @amazingdaysevents wedding yesterday and one I’m sure all the guests will remember for years to come. #banzaitoast #hawaiiantradition #meetthesimpsons102018 #santabarbarawedding #privatehomewedding #amazingdaysevents
