Hi All- long but worth the read if you care about disability awareness & how - Art Empowers!

Celebrating my one year anniversary and had to share -

I am thr Director of Development & Operations for a growing nonprofit in SB. My boss is a 26 year old quadriplegic who lost the use of her limbs overnight by a random virus attacking her spine on her 17th birthday.
(She did theater with Riva Brody in Jr. high, it could have been my child or yours)

She was a 3 instrument musician SBHS DONS - ONCE A DON ALWAYS A DON

Art empowers!

Instead of going to Berklee School of Music for college she had to go to Craig Hospital and learn to live in a wheelchair.

Learning to paint with her mouth saved her life. She went on to graduate UCSB College of Creative Studies with a degree in music composition , composing with her mouth

Gracie Fisher founded and is the Creative Director of Grace Fisher Foundation offering FREE arts programs in La Cumbre Plaza at the inspirational Inclusive Arts Clubhouse for people of ALL abilities.
