A little late, we’ll a lot late but this sweet girl of mine turned 1 on February 7th. She’s the joy and sweetness that blesses you every day. Her head on my shoulder and the way she says bird (birt) and the way she loves to read her books. She’s so sweet and curious and will wave at strangers. She loves to hear Grandmas voice and will pretend to call her on my phone. Daisy Louise you are my Angel baby and my sweet girl. Never change..you complete us in so many ways.

On Thursday, I co-hosted a Halloween Baby Shower/ Halloween party for a friend of ours who is expecting her 2nd baby. I was so excited when she said yes and then when she mentioned she wanted it to be Halloween themed 💪🏽🙌🏼..I mean I don’t need an excuse to throw a party.
We had lots of yummy food and desserts and crafts for the kiddos. I just wish we would have wrangled the kiddos for a group photo, but that’s like herding cats.

An ode to the Summer of 2020.
As I am scrolling back thru the photos on my phone with my baby girl sleeping in my arms I want to savor these last few hours of the summer of 2020. I’m always really sad when summer comes to an end. I love Fall..don’t get me wrong and I’m excited for seasonal change, but I am going to miss the long days of this summer and the summer that poppy turned one.
This summer was spent soaking in the long days at the pool and adventuring with family and friends. We went on lots of socially distanced play dates to the beach, the park, and the zoo and Poppy has grown quite close to a few of her new friends!
We spent time doing online zoom music classes and listening to many hours of .sb cds in the car as we adventured to Yosemite and Zion. It’s been a really fun summer and I’m sad it’s coming to an end, but joyful and excited for what fall is going to bring!
I am hoping to finally post some more photos of our family adventures today!

Happy Father’s Day to our one and only Dada! We are lucky to have you in our life and love you soo much! This year has been an adventure and I couldn’t ask for a better partner to walk this journey we call life. You are so devoted, gentle, and loving to our sweet Poppy even when she’s using your head as a bongo drumroll, screaming at the top of her lungs, or won’t let your hand go even though you are about to burst! My sweet Poppy Anne, you are my ray of sunshine on a cloudy day! You make my life complete and I’m so lucky to be your Mama. This is my 2nd Mother’s Day and I am truly blessed to have a Hubby and sweet little girl I get to spend the day with.

I can’t believe in 2 sleeps this little girl will be turning ONE! Yes, ONE!! My heart is bursting because I can’t believe that she will be a toddler and because i feel overjoyed with how much crazy love I have for our sweet girl! Poppy Anne is an energetic and independent baby/toddler. She certainly keeps me and her Dada on our toes. There is no rest in our house! We can’t celebrate her the way I wanted but I’m decorating the house anyway and I’m preparing 2 zoom calls with family and friends so we can celebrate all weekend!! @ Mission Canyon, California

Happy Easter to all of you!
We celebrated Easter in a very slow and relaxed way. Watching church service on tv. Getting caught up and Zooming with extended family. eating brunch and dinner as a family of 3! It was quiet and slow and mellow and just what we needed.
We finally got caught up and snagged a photo of our little Ms Poppy who looks like a toddler now more than ever! In a few weeks she will be 1 and this mama has all the feelings!
This year has flown by faster than I thought possible.
Poppy is chatting up a storm and says Mama, Dada, Dog, and some version of Poppy and Car.
She loves the outdoors!!! Can’t get enough of the outside.
She is very close to walking and is starting to stand on her own and wants to have daddy hold her hands and walk with her everywhere. She loves books and her favorite past times are breastfeeding and throwing food on the floor!
