Thank you to Bon Appétit West Coast Fellow, Mitchell Everetts for his visit to Santa Clara University with sustainability events, featuring a visit today to Forge Garden for a Persimmon Tasting, all grown by Santa Clara University’s own Forge Garden! The Center for Sustainability’s Forge Garden is a half-acre edible, organic garden that serves as a hub for sustainable food system education. Forge Garden programs aim to build a just and sustainable food system through education, collaboration, and connectivity, using the garden a a living lab for interdisciplinary learning. 🧑‍🌾🚜

Thanks to all who came to the Spooktacular Halloween 🎃 Bake Sale. Special thanks to the SCU pastry team led by for all they do for us. All of today’s treats were crafted here at Santa Clara University.

Our favorite treat from today was the Strawberry Red Meat made without gluten containing ingredients.

Chef Wars! Three teams, three stations – Try them all and vote for your favorite! Executive Chefs from Santa Clara University, University of San Francisco and University of the Pacific will be challenged to create the most delicious offerings. Wednesday, February 21st 5pm – 8pm Benson Center Order on Transact Wednesday – all three stations for $29.95. You can use your meal plan. Then pick your favorite by scanning the QR code! Today we are featuring the home team, let by Culinary Director, Eugene Zelditch. Eugene and the SCU dining team will be featuring pan seared scallops with sunchoke puree, beluga lentils and baby turnip and pea shoots with a special dessert created by the Santa Clara University in-house pastry team!
