Soooo, today I got hit up for a couple of bb🍌🍞 bread orders from Bake Me a Cake. Just when I was about to deliver, it suddenly dawned on me, “Hold up, I’ll be handing out bread to the owner of Bake Me a Cake Cali?” I tensed up😳😳😳! Suddenly, my mind is racing, driving myself nuts with questions. Did I measure right? Is the bread moist enough? Will she like it? I mean come on!!! She is not just a baker, mind you, she’s been on Food Network’s Halloween Bake Off show (with judge Duff Goldman), been recently featured in our local SCV magazine and will be featured soon on a big news station for her cakes. She makes killer butter cream (strawberry vanilla my fave) that I could lick out from plates (and am not one for icing). Anyway, she’s known as one who honestly speaks her mind and I was nervously waiting on what she has to say. I got a good comment from her on a post I made. Whew!!! That went well. And now as I was scrolling down fb posts, I came across a post with a picture that looks familiar... OMG!!! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 It’s my banana bread!!!! Posted from Bake Me A Cake fb page with all the delicious comments and # I could handle! 🤩🥳🤩🥳 Maybe you ask, why so hyped about a comment/post??? You see, originally, Marbled Luck Events was more of a place of design and coordination of talented vendors. When the pandemic hit, events took a back sit and baking banana bread to reinvent Marbled Luck Bakes, was a shot at the moon. Baking is an entirely new ball game for me and to receive comments like this in just a month’s time of reinvention is very HUMBLING and grateful and pushes you to go forward knowing that local businesses (big and small) support each other #scvawesometown #mylongestpostever #supportlocal #supportsmallbusiness #wecanbebananabread
