Floating in wedding bliss! It's been a little over a month since Nathan & Eden had their happily ever after. Let's start this Spring Wedding Season with a bang! First of all, many congratulations to our beautiful couple Kristen and Tyler for tying the knot on 3.24.24. It was an honor coordinating your wedding. "May the true love you share today grow stronger as you grow old together." ❤️

For me, there is nothing more beautiful than candid black and white photos. I don't know what it is.... I just LOVE them. Hello there!!! I think it's been a while. Let me re-introduced myself. I am Nicole Dwyer, the Owner and Creative Director here at Pro Details Events. I love weddings! That's what I do! Even though I am super strict with my timeline and vendors I consider myself a very easygoing person. I think I am super easy to work with. And, when things are going smoothly and the event has been successful you will see me having some FUN at the photo booth or just getting a caricature drawing done! That's me! I'm going to share our adventure today as we worked at our first 2023 wedding!!! If you are a newly engaged couple starting to book your vendors this will be a great insight for you.

***Please hire a Day of Coordinator**** A good one though....***** not the cheapest you can find.....but one with stories and experience.....one who has seen it all!!!

*****Please booked a good florist....not the cheapest....READ REVIEWS.....get references from the venue or your wedding coordinator*****

So, they hired us for Day of Coordination. They hired their own vendors no referral from us. The couple provided the arch. While the florist was attaching the big floral pieces to the arch, unfortunately, it couldn't support the weight and it bent and broke (See Photo).

Now..... There were so many wrongs in this scenario and it does not matter who's at fault....what matters is "what's next?"...." how do you fix this?". As horrible as it sounds, the florist left.....leaving it just like that (photo below)... You know...because they had so many other deliveries to do....they couldn't care less. To make things more stressful...we had 1 hour until the ceremony.

This is truly an example of how your coordinator saves the day!!! The venue had some VIP Gold stainless steel posts outside and gratefully they let me bored them... My amazing decorator and I, in less than 15 minutes transformed the posts into amazing altarpieces. Then the DJ had some extra spotlights that added a sweet touch and we moved some pieces from the aisle as well. My tool kit came in handy...100%.

****My #1 tool.... I swear....are zip ties**** life savers everytime!!! ******

Anyways.... It was not what the bride wanted....but.... At least.... It was a good solution at the moment. Overall, we finished the setup on time, it was an amazing wedding and everyone had a blast. The couple was very understanding and appreciated the effort. We are grateful.

I hope this post could help couples realize how crucial coordinators are. So hire one for your wedding, it will be worth it!
