Last Santa Fe Opera Opening Night dinner of the season—Orfeo. Last slide shows the staging inspiration given and we “matched” the flowers to the story, the Orpheus myth set heavily on the underworld. These were fun to create!

Final Opera Opening Night of the season—M. Butterfly World Premiere. I dig into some floral research on this one—flowers in Chinese art and traditional Chinese florals. We hit the high notes with chrysanthemum and lotus, pine and plum blossom, umbrella fern in lieu of bamboo… even a hidden butterfly. 🦋
