Hey everybody in the Bay county, Walton County, and San Destin area! We will be starting interviews in January for seasonal job positions!

Dates needed will be mid February through the end of October. Off-season positions will be available as well!

Beach Chair Attendants, Bonfire Attendants, Special Event Attendants, Part-Time office, and Staff Baby-Sitter (many attendants have kids that need help with childcare, mostly nights)

Time for some holiday who-be what-ee from your local firefighters. This is Day 1 of South Walton Fire District's 12 Days of Fire Safety Campaign, inspired by Christmas movies and their characters that we hope you'll love.

You may remember The Grinch and his unique planning abilities, ensuring he budgeted time to wallow in self-pity, jazzercise, and solve world hunger. You know, the important things we all relate to during the holiday season...?

While he wanted to tell no one, the word about his plans got out and firefighters heard he never set aside time to check his smoke alarms. And all the SWFD firefighters said, "Hate, hate, hate. Double hate. Loathe entirely."

Hey Mr. Grinch, pencil in a little fire safety time, will you? 6:30, check your smoke alarms. You can't cancel that again.

Hear us when we say the safety of your family this holiday season could very well depend on a working smoke alarm in your home. Set aside time to test the alarms and replace the batteries if necessary.
