You never know when you’ll meet someone who touches your heart, deeply. To the lady who was with her older mother at Los Rios Apple farm in Oak Glen on Wednesday, October 20, 2021:
You were what I needed at that time. I can still see the sparkle in your eyes, the smile on your face. and the huge hug you were willing to give to a stranger. You said ‘I’m going to cry’ and we did, but not of sadness but of joy. You are an incredible person and I’m enriched to have met you, if only the world could see that it’s not the color of our skin that matters but the love we can give freely to one another.

You never imagine that there could be a major clitch on your day. But in this case there was. Flowers were ready to go but not the bride, she was in the hospital. Determined to marry on their original day, their “first” took place in the hospital’s chapel. Flowers were there for them to use at that time. The pictures your see are from the true celebration that took place a couple of weeks ago.

Now for the real thing: my bride and groom were married in front of their family, friends, and coworkers. Chris made an appropriate statement during the vows, “we’ve gone through the sickness, let’s move on to our health.” Congratulations Zakiya and Chris and thank you for trusting me to do a repeat of your flowers. Ok all my friends and family, please don't be that person who stops quickly at the grocery store and grab some flowers for the person who is spending hours preparing a meal for you!. What are they to do with them hunt for a vase or just say thank you and lay them down, because they are busy right then?
