So many great weddings already this year! Super fun crowd this weekend at in St. Helena. No filter on this one… our uplights really made the architecture pop, and the dance floor lights added a little pizzazz to Chris & Niki’s dance party. Great vendor team… great celebration!

It’s a gorgeous room already, but our up lights added a little pop of color, and highlighted the dramatic architecture at this weekend. This was right around sunset and before the dance party really got going… most of the guests were out enjoying the lakefront Tahoe evening. your mom and her sisters were enjoying the oldies here- they got a little crazy on the dance floor later! Lol… no pics of that part from me! I get to work with the nicest couples… consistently.

Sometimes we have the best seat in the house. Like last month, when a father arranged for Grammy (and 4-time Dove) Award Winning Artist Bob Carlisle to show up (unbeknownst to his daughter) to sing their father-daughter song LIVE! Thrilled to be part of making this kind of moment happen.

It had already been a month, but we had a great wedding in Napa, our 4th wedding of the season. Fun party with a mostly So-Cal crowd. Beautiful setup and smooth flow provided by Milestone Events Group despite some last minute changes to accommodate restrictions in place at the time.

Sonoma County friends (especially my wedding industry friends)... would you consider this pledge? It asks for essential framework from government, and accompanies it with personal responsibility and engagement from the private sector. We believe it's a well thought out approach that could be the right path to get our economy back up and running, while taking proper precautions.

Sign the Pledge for a safe and successful reopening of Sonoma County. No one has all of the answers, but together, we will be part of the solution.

What does a DJ do on a Saturday night in March when they don’t have a wedding? Business! In the last 36 hours, we’ve booked 4 new clients, consulted with 2 2021 brides (need to get them proposals!), and held planning consultations with 3 current clients for this year. And we’ve discussed contingency Corona plans with several upcoming clients. Love being busy!!!

Back in January I got to play around with some of my uplighting before a party at Granlibakken in Tahoe. These are some before and after pics of the room, which already had some nice wood tones, but got a lot more atmosphere with the lighting.

Every now and then I get to work with my sister and her company Cambria Events. Here we are from one of our joint weddings was just featured today on Style Me Pretty. Photo credit to Ashley Baumgartner for this one...

I was so tempted to submit my contribution - well into the dance party, I took a request and played Piano Man by Billy Joel. Everyone joined in a circle around the dance floor, swaying and singing along. Before too long, I realized that one of the groomsmen was standing there in his boxers with his pants around his ankles, belting out the song! lol.... and by the end, at least a dozen of the dudes were in this same compromising position.😂😂

I've seen a lot of wedding traditions, friends groups traditions, school/university traditions.... I was not familiar with this one. The photographer had already left (we were into our second hour of overtime at this point), and I snapped a pic, but I'm a little hesitant to share.

Anyone heard of this before/know where this tradition comes from?

This has been on our mind recently. Especially for fall weddings which are popular in the Wine Country. Fall is fire season... and now, power outage season as well! 😂😂

As a vendor, not only do we carry liability and other appropriate insurances, but we also have battery backup systems and quiet generators that can run all our equipment.

But none of that matters if half the county is mandatorily evacuated, as happened the last weekend of October last year.

We highly recommend event cancellation insurance, especially during that time of year.
