in 2007, Brian Setzer and his orchestra lit up our stage with their high-energy blend of rockabilly, big band, and swing! The December performance was part of his iconic Christmas tour, which brought festive favorites to life with their classic vintage flair. Songs like "Jingle Bells" and "Boogie Woogie Santa Claus," as well as classic hits, such as "Jump, Jive an' Wail" and "Rock This Town." With Setzer’s sizzling guitar solos and the orchestra’s vibrant brass section, it was a holiday show to remember.

Tune in Wednesday, January 8 at 5PM to watch an exclusive Luther Locals Online recording of Pi Jacobs on our page!

Blending roots-rock swagger and storytelling soul, Pi Jacobs' music has drawn comparisons to Tom Waits, Dolly Parton, and Lucinda Williams. Her recent album, "Soldier On," has been described as "a joyous blast of blues, soul, and string-band stomp." It has been on the Americana Music Association Charts for more than four months. https://lutherburbankcenter.org/event/pijabocs25/

Sonoma Mountain Elementary continues to integrate LBC’s Artists in the Schools residencies into its curriculum for a second year and to cap off its fall 2024 program, it held a performance showcase for all students and their families. The upper grades spent the semester with LBC Teaching Artist Jasmyn Haralson, learning Hip Hop dance techniques and routines. They used the showcase to share all they have learned, including some skills that aren’t obvious on the stage: skills like collaboration, confidence, discipline, and embracing mistakes as a path to success. The room was buzzing and packed as students and parents showed immense support and spirit for the performers! This spring, the TK - 2nd graders will have their turn to dance, learn, and then share with another end-of-residency showcase. Want to bring a customized Artist in the School residency to your school? email Farrah McAdam at [email protected].

Hailed as “modern masters of American folk” and “protectors of the American folk song,” Gillian Welch and David Rawlings will be planting their Grammy®-winning roots music on the LBC stage on Friday, March 14, 2025. In fact, "Time (The Revelator)," their first release on their own record label, Acony Records, in 2001, is widely considered by critics to be one of the best albums of all time. In 2020, the duo released "All the Good Times," the first album under both their names, which won the Grammy for “Best Folk Album.” In 2011, the Grammy-nominated "The Harrow and The Harvest" won “Artist of the Year” (Welch) and was nominated for “Instrumentalist of the Year” (Rawlings) at the Americana Honors & Awards. Recently, they were crowned with the Berklee American Masters Award and honored by Americana Music Association with a Lifetime Achievement for songwriting.

🎁 🎟️ Give the gift of laughter! 😂 Don’t miss the iconic Danae Hays, coming to the LBC on Friday, January 10, 2025! Alabama-bred and Nashville-based, the comedian, actress, and content creator represents a fresh, new female voice in the comedy, acting, and music worlds. Her cast of zany Southern characters and parody of country music songs have pushed her to the top of the Spotify and Apple Music charts, earning her more than 3.6 million followers and nearly 2 billion views. Hays’ debut Country/Comedy single, “Rode Hard,” peaked at No. 5 on the Country Global iTunes Charts, No. 8 on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales, No. 22 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales, and No. 34 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists. Earlier this year, she wrapped her debut comedy tour, which sold out in minutes. The tour has been extended through the end of the year.
