My first cherry pie of the season. The best crust ever! 100% flour-9 oz. 50 % -Crisco 4.5 oz. 25 %- ice water 2.25 oz. 1 Tablespoon sugar, 1/2 Teaspoon salt. Good for one 9 in. pie. Remember the percentages and you will never forget the recipe. Let me know how it goes!

PitMaster Tip-I get a lot of people asking me about how to create a good smoke ring on there brisket. Here is how it works basically-when would burns it creates gases, these react to water in the meat and form nitric acid which reacts to the myoglobin(the red color) and prevents the meat from browning. One way to insure a good smoke ring is to make sure that there is available moisture in your pit and to wrap the brisket in butcher paper after you have achieved the desire color.
