Dear Friends & Family,

It’s time to share the news of how my world got flipped upside down. How life can change in a single moment. Last Sunday my husband Jesse Winchel had an accident and was rushed to the hospital as a trauma. He collapsed in the shower and fell into our shower vanity breaking the bones in his face and eye structure and piercing his eye. His body became hypoxic due to his sleep apnea becoming obstructive. His body shut down and he was placed on a ventilator to breathe for him. He has been in the ICU since Sunday and it has been a complete roller coaster. He’s made progress and he can now talk again and is on a less invasive breathing machine thats flowing oxygen to his lungs to help him breath which is good. We don’t know if he will regain his eyesight in his right eye yet. The swelling is still being managed but we are praying that with rest and time and modern medicine. That he will be able to see again. With that being said I have decided with all the responsibility of caring for our children, both businesses and going back and forth to the hospital to be by his side. I’m taking a pause on my floral business and will not be doing Valentines this year. This is another big financial loss for my family as you all know and understand I’m sure. Also, I know you all understand right now it’s imperative that I have enough strength to get through all this. If you have an order already placed between now and then. Rest assure it will still be done I’m just not taking any more in at the moment. The stress of all this is just so much. My mind is going 20 million directions. We are continuing to pray with the help of modern medicine that Jesse will make a full recovery but it will be an extremely long road to recovery. Please keep my family in your prayers. We need our big grizzly bear to come home. We love you all and for those who know and have reached out to help. Thank you from every ounce of my being. I can’t do this without you all. It truly takes a village and I’m so humbled by your kindness. If you feel that you can contribute in any way please reach out. I may not answer right away but I will get back to you. Remember to hug your loved ones a little tighter. Because life is so fragile and can change in a single moment. 🙏🏻❤️

Dear Amazing Customers & Floral Fans,

Its with a heavy heart that I must write this, Christine's Floral Designs is on the brink of closing its doors. As the ever rising unexpected costs of inflation have hit us all, it has made maintaining my small business even harder and harder to keep open. I'm at the break-even level and have exhausted all my resources financially. I've had to face the harsh reality that indeed my dream may be coming to an end without your help. For the last 8 years I have been able to serve our community creating stunning floral arrangements and bringing joy to so many faces. Its been such an honor to work with all of you by creating unforgettable memories from your wedding days, baby showers, special events, teaching floral design class' at our local schools, designing flowers for the Santee's Veterans Memorial and even becoming Santee's Favorite Florist. I know you may be tempted to shop only online this holiday season as it is convenient, and maybe even your offered free shipping or delivery. You may be paying more shopping at my small business vs our local grocery stores or third party websites but when you shop small you are helping me keep my doors open and my family fed. Your helping this small business mama keep her dream and passion alive. Big companies won't notice your purchase over the next few months but my small business will. I'm asking our community that you help support my small business this holiday season.
