In most every wedding ceremony, there is a moment that symbolizes the unification of two individuals into one. This symbol is rooted in the scripture in Mark 10:8 "And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.” This is often referred to as the unity ceremony and varies across different cultures and traditions, but its purpose remains consistent: to represent the merging of two lives, two families, and two souls. Whether through fire, water, sand, or other meaningful elements, the unity ceremony is a beautiful and serious reminder of the couple’s life long commitment to each other. Congratulations to all the 2025 graduating class. The tassel is worth the hassle, so hang in there during the last quarter. Over prepare for your papers, speeches, and test. Pray! The end is in sight. Plan a celebration with your family. Your classmates will go on with their goals for their life and you might not cross paths much anymore, but your family is there for you. Show them your appreciation for their support through the years by having a party. Let them feel your love by taking the time to tell them that you love and admire them. They do love and admire you so much. Congratulations!

The food doesn't have to be real fancy nor do you have to break the bank for most families to enjoy gathering. "Keep your event simple, sweetie," is the best advice when you are planning your party.
One little tip to remember is, put what you have the most of at the first of your buffet line and graduate to what you have the least of. Then your amounts will turn out about right.

Sometimes life throws one an unexpected loss. The 19th always stirs up memories of the tragic day when the police came knocking at our door a little after 8 a.m. asking how we were related to Kayleah Bell. The next few days were a whirlwind of all the things I never dreamed I needed to know and do; I still can't hardly process the reality of it. But I do know how everyone I knew flew in to action loving and supporting and helping and serving and holding me up. I never will forget the huge, upscale, delicious, special, and fancy dinner that Bethany Holiness Church and our Church of God congregations prepared for all of our family, all of our friends, and the whole church. It still brings tears to my eyes when I think of all the people who gave and worked together to make everything happen so lovely. I have had about 5 opportunities to help families in sorrow host a gathering in a life celebration or in memory of their loved one here at Bella Rosa Venue since we opened. I feel honored to get to serve them at the beginning of grief. I do understand and know how it feels to be loved and catered to.

Marriage is about unity, not uniformity. Each partner brings their unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives, creating a balanced and supportive relationship. Each has different rolls, different responsibilities, different view points, different strengths and weaknesses. The family needs both sides and both angles to balance and complement the home. Instead of trying to change one another, embracing those differences can strengthen the bond and create harmony and peace even with the children and those the couple influences.
