Congratulations to the Venice High School Project Graduation for hosting a post-graduation night like no other! With a bounce-house, food, games, and swag this party keeps the grads safe until 2:00 AM! Venice High School Class of 2024 walked on Friday night, May 17, 2024, on their football field and in front of thousands of guests. Sarasota Herald-Tribune

Tim Mitten throws cool parties! Last night's ARTini Night @ Art Avenue Fri. April 26th held at Art Avenue was a huge success with hundreds of guests in attendance. Thanks to the always fun Just Pose Events which was started by a 13-year-old Pine View School 8th grader in 2022, and Adam Elshimy may still be the youngest CEO in Sarasota! I raised my children with urban exploration, and super delighted they both have a keen interest in this fun activity. Kali and I have this little collection of space houses - this one was shot on Pensacola Beach a few days ago. Carol Burke Roggy drove us to Royse City, Texas, to photograph an abandoned one that we were able to climb around in! Future mom-daughter coffee table book (with legs, of course!)??!! Look closely at the front door for a lil surprise!

Working at my desk and feeling eyes on me: the deer come right up to the window and stare at me! Followed them around to the side of the house for some snaps. I love living in the wild kingdom with animals and birds - waiting on the bobcat to come back and for the next 'gator sighting!

Fresh alligator tracks in my yard! The green X is where I saw a 'gator on Raymond Road. The red line shows the direction the new Firethorne 'gator must have travelled in order to get through my yard and into the lake across the street from me. The bobcat is back on site, the hawks are stealing my black racers, the deer are still hanging around, and the armadillos continue to dig up the yard leaving triangle wedges in the grass - they are natural soil aerators!

I brake for 'gators! I had to stop on Raymond Road to let this beauty cross the road safely. He is about 6' long based on the width of the fence posts which he settled into after leaving the pond on the east side of the road, and about 10-12 years old. 'Gators stand about 22" off the ground and they can motivate at a sprint up to 35 mph. An absolutely beautiful creature!

In a nail-biter of a tennis match at the Elizabeth Moore Sarasota Open finals this afternoon, Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis dominated over Belgian Zizou Bergs. Congratulations to both of these young men and keep your eyes open because these two are predicted to be Top 10 in the world very soon! More photos coming soon!

It was nice to see the entire world come together over some basic earth science. I took a few minutes away from Elizabeth Moore Sarasota Open to join in on the eclipse fever. First shot at 2:19 PM, last shot at 3:28 PM. This was about our maximum coverage of the sun in Sarasota, Florida. I put my glasses over my 2.8 lens and shot blindly on auto focus. Wasn't taking a huge risk with these peepers that Christine takes such good care of!! FUN FACT: As it reached its peak, a huge, blustery wind came around and lasted about five minutes - a little creepy, but exciting! Now, back to men's professional tennis with Ray Collins Media & Real Estate!

I have an opportunity for a few high school/college girls with their PROM GOWNS to model for me on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, between 3:00-5:00. This is for a project with Sarasota Adult & Community Enrichment at STC - ACE Sarasota and only pays with high resolution digital files! We are not using the '49 Chevy for this shoot, but something equally as cool near University and Tamiami. Please contact me if interested! And, thanks to Lily and Alyssa for coming to the band hall for senior photos!

What is better than having ONE amazing Mom? How about TWO amazing Moms? Congratulations to Christel and Melissa, and special shout out to Nana, Grandma, Aunt Angie and Uncle Joe and everyone who helped make this special baby shower work during a pandemic! Social distancing, lovely pink masks to celebrate a baby girl and so many laughs made this unique experience safe and special.
