We are thrilled to announce the return of Artlab, now a quarterly celebration of the vibrant Sarasota arts scene. The next event will take place at the elegant Living Vogue on Main Street at 6pm, followed by an exclusive after-party at Cask and Ale starting at 9pm.

This extraordinary evening honors the local art community in all its forms, featuring the dynamic sounds of DJs from EMP Entertainment and DJ Shambala. Immerse yourself in the creativity of featured artists Olivia D’Amico, Camille Enkeboll, Lipstick Lex, and Nata Logvinova, with live poetry by Steve McAllister, spoken word by Elizabeth Wilson, and captivating dance performances by Dynasty Dance.

Indulge in exquisite catering by 1592, and enjoy a selection of adult beverages.

INTRODUCING THE CABARET ON THE BLVD: DECO PERFORMERS!

Meet ALEXANDER ZICKAFOOSE:

Alexander Zickafoose is a current Music Director at Booker High School VPA, specializing in Modern Band and Choir. Concurrently he serves as a staff member for Rise Above Performing Arts, Directing and Supervising Music with the Elementary, Middle, and High School groups. He has performed many theatrical roles all over the community, including, Nick Bottom in Something Rotten, the title role in Pippin, as well as Finch in How to Succeed at Business without Really Trying at the Manatee Performing Arts Center, Jon Larson in Tick Tick Boom and Mendel in Falsettos at the Players Centre, and Jamie in the Last Five Years at Venice Theatre. Currently he is Music Directing and starring in Anything Goes at the Manatee Performing Arts Center and preparing to Direct Lightning Thief with Rise Above in the Fall.

Meet DALY SANTANA:

Aidalis (Daly) Santana is so excited to contribute to another show in the Sarasota theatre community! Before recently performing in “tick…tick…BOOM!“ with the Sarasota Players, Daly spent the last stage of her life as an acrobat in the FSU Flying High Circus. She wants to thank this community for welcoming her with open arms and for the opportunity to be a part of something beautiful with beautiful people.

Meet KATHRYN PARKS:

Kathryn Parks is an award-winning actor, singer, and filmmaker who has been honored with the Ladies in Film and Entertainment Award by the Sunshine City Film Festival. As a singer and stage actress, Kathryn has worked at Florida Studio Theatre, Asolo Rep, St. Petersburg Opera, West Coast Black Theatre Troupe, Sarasota Players, Treefort Productions, Urbanite, Manatee Performing Arts Center, and Venice Theatre. She is also a regular soloist with the 35-piece Sarasota Concert Band. She was recognized with a Handy Award by the Sarasota Herald Tribune and her voice has been called “sparkling” by Scene Magazine while the Bradenton Herald has described her as “portraying genuine star power”. 

She also performs and teaches musical improv with Florida Studio Theatre Improv. As a filmmaker, she has written and produced three films that have appeared in nearly 40 film festivals and have also been recognized as “Best Florida Films”. She is also an accomplished screen actor and can be seen on television and in feature films.  Kathryn has a BA in Theatre Arts from University of Miami and going even further back, she was born right here at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
