Every December has a “feeling,” right? This one might be pajama mornings, or the year everyone insisted on hot cocoa before breakfast, or the year your toddler fell in love with one specific ornament. Whatever it is… it deserves a photo. Not the perfect version. The real one. ❤️🎄✨

Sometimes when I say, ' Oh I've got a photo session tonight with 15 people later today' people will act shocked. "How do you do that?!" Well see... it's a special magic I've got and I can't very well tell you about the magic. You'll have to just hire me to see it for yourself. 😉

Mini sessions this year were so much fun! I've had years where it was too hot, and years where it was so cold but this year it was Goldilocks was very happy with the weather we were gifted. 😜

The best piece of marriage advice I ever heard, was that you should surround yourselves with other strong couples. I'm lucky enough to have spent some time photographing couples who have walked a marriage path much longer then mine and I'm always asking for all the positive advice they'll give. What magical lives all of these couples have created. Children, Grandchildren and families full of love. The magic of love. 💖

Considering we don't 'get fall' here in the way that most of the rest of the country gets, it's pretty amazing to me when the sun will set in the most perfect way to create an orange tone to all of the surrounding trees. It's the magic of Mother Nature shining down upon us and there isn't a photo session that she shows up with something special that I'm not grateful.

It's another trip around the sun for me! I love my birthday, in that it's a reminder of another year full of ups and downs and so many challenges overcome. I happen to love aging and the proof of my life well lived is getting the opportunity do it again this next year. 🎂 Happy Birthday to me!!

My secret?! I love a little pop of mustard in a styled photo. In fact if you see a photo shared that I took, where someone is in a pop of yellow you should assume that I had something to do with that. 🌻🌞💛
