The Department of Public Works is delighted to announce the successful completion of the Canfield Casino Parlor & Bar Plaster Restoration Project. Led by City Engineer Deb LeBreche, the project encompassed repairing damaged plaster, insulating the parlor attic, renovating pocket doors, refurbishing bar lighting, and replacing window treatments. The majority of the project was completed during the 3-month closure of the building at the beginning of the year. With the installation of the bar lighting, the project is now complete.
Our mission with each restoration project is to maintain the building's structural integrity and historical accuracy. We appreciate the collaboration of MCWB Architects, PCC Contracting, Grand Lighting, and Drapery Industries, Inc. on this project.
